Your favourite beer?
Hi all. Personally I'm a huge fan of the original Belgian Whitebeer, Hoegaarden, though I've recently heard this is a beer for girls .
Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for a good beer? I love sitting back after a hard day's work with a beer .
Spirits and wine recommendations also welcome. _________________ Bass to jazz.... j-j-j-jazz to bass... |

I am not really a beer-drinker, to be honest, but IF I drink a beer, then I just love DUCKSTEIN. It is a german beer, comes from my region and is being matured in wooden barrels, made of beechwood, which is special. The beer has a reddish colour and has a malty taste.
It is a beer which is drawed from a barrel, but meanwhile you can also buy it in bottles.
I don't know if you can buy it in other countries, but if you find it somewhere, try it!!

Well, well, well, this is a topic I like!
My favourite beers are:
Luxembourg: (The beer I was "raised" with)
Simon Pils (the beer I've got at home, quite hoppy taste)
Battin Gambrinus (the beer my parents have at home, quite malty taste)
Bofferding
Belgium: (The best fecking brewing country in the world, that's why I put ... at the end)
Westmalle Tripel (triple fermented, brewn by monks, very tasty!)
Kwak (Served in a very special glass and high percented in alcohol)
Hoegaarden Witte/Blanche (no way a girls only beer!!! It's good for everyone! With Weihenstephan my favourite white beer)
Mort Subite Kriek (Beer fermented with cherries, yummee!)
...
Netherlands:
Hertog Jan
Vos
Germany (The biggest brewing country in the world):
Flensburger Pilsner
Gaffel Kölsch
Weihenstephan
Rothaus Tannenzäpfle
UK:
A good homebrew bitter, pumped out of the barrel
Ireland:
Guinness
Murphy's Stout
Portugal:
Super Bock
USA (Hell yeah, even some Americans know how to brew beer):
Samuel Adams
Canada:
Labatt Bleue
Czech Republic (The inventors of pils):
Pilsner Urquell
Budweiser
Switzerland:
Calanda Bräu
But if you ask me which of these beers I prefer the most, I go for:
Simon Pils:
It's not really special, but I like it's taste. In French they would call it désalterant.
Ahhh, and I forgot, it's the beer the Grand Duke drinks too! _________________

Belgian trappist beer for the win!!! Orval, Westmalle, Rochefort, Chimay, and a fifth one I can't remember!
There is even a Dutch trappist brewery, called La Trappe. _________________
