I'm lost !!!
This is probably the wrong place to bring this up, and it's probably something that's been talked about a Zilllllliooon times before, but.........
If there was an 8 album deal with Sony, what are the 8 albums, I only count 7 ????
This is something that I've been thinking about for a few weeks now and I know that I'm missing something so obvious and I'm gonna feel real silly when I get an answer.
Can someone help ????
Again, sorry for posting this here _________________ Music, music and more funkin' music |

There is no Cd release for the Live in Verona...
Jamiroquai Albums (studio albums) are 6 + a Greatest Hits:
1) Emergency On Planet Earth
2) The Return Of The Space Cowboy
3) Travelling Without Moving
4) Synkronized
5) A Funk Odyssey
6) Dynamite
7) High Times: Singles 1992-2006
Dvd:
1) Live In Verona (2002)
2) High Times: Singles 1992-2006 (2006)
3) Live At Montreux 2003 (2007)
P.s: there are also 2 compilations: "Jay's Selection (1996)" - Japanese compilation of tracks chosen by Jay and "LateNightTales (2003)" - Compilation of tracks chosen by Jamiroquai. Both highly recommended _________________

Counting an 8 hours day of work. Without the lunch break... A CD has maximum 12 tracks. 12* 5 minutes (the average time) = 60 minutes = 1 hour. Okapa that they want this album to be perfect so 1 month for each track must work out just fine...which lead us to an year. An year is way more than 4 and half years...4 times more actually.

When High Times (greatest hits) was released, Jay told a newspaper (sorry, I can't remember which one) he made a deal with Sony.
For years Sony wanted to release a greatest hits compilation, but Jay rejected the idea. He thought it would more or less indicate the end of the most popular and artistic period of Jamiroquai.
Sony persisted for a long time and in the end Jay agreed. Other side of the deal was that Jamiroquai didn't have to release an eighth album for Sony.
Maybe I misinterpreted the story. Could anyone else confirm this story? |
