Down to the bone
Down to the bone is a funky, soulful and jazzy band composed by mighty musicians, Roy Ayers - Tony Remy - Hil St Soul - Richard Sadler, just to name a few....... We already know the most of them, anyway, I was listening to their last album: Future Boogie (will be published on Freestyle Records for the U.K/EEC the 5th October 2009) and it's simply A M A Z I N G guys Shocked

There is also a little of Jamiroquai in it... Take a listen to "We’ve Always Got The Music" Smile

I recommend Supercharged, their best album IMHO.

Great band, great album. Cool

The title track and 'We've Always Got The Music' are the business!

(P.S. Future Boogie is available to buy now - google it!)

Peace,

Rocco.

I much prefer the album "Cellar Funk" with the track "I'll Always Hold You Close". Just spectacular.

Mmmm, on some places I said this music sounds too clean to me, but it's slowly growing to me.

I think I'll buy me a couple of Down to the bone albums!!!

Here what I read on Wikipedia:

Quote:
Down to the Bone is unique in that the leader, Stuart Wade, does not play any instruments at all. Instead, Wade uses a dictaphone to hum tunes into, which are then recorded by the band.

Shocked Very Happy

I liked it, some stuff reminds me of Fourplay and Groove Collective.

The problem is, this kind of bands often put up a vulgar Jazzy sound, it may sound good, but it just doesn´t have a spacey vibe, it doesn´t stand out of the rest of the ocean, get what I mean?

Cheers
