I saw the movie AVATAR today in 3D and I absolutely Loved it!!! AWESOME with a Capital AAAA+++. It would have to be the best visual effects movie I have ever seen, the aliens and plants and animals were soooo real, it was unbelievable!!!
It will definately clean up at the oscars for visual, special effects and cinematography for sure... The story line was great and although fantasy/sci fi, very believable and even a little bit "Biblical" with the "tree of life" "halo" references and other subtle things and what better topic for a movie than God and Aliens... that aside This is a great movie and if you are going to see it on the big screen make sure you see it in 3D if you get a chance absolutely mind blowing I thought.. but I don't get out much ---- sooo yeh.. xx

Err, signed in to randomly recommend a great movie I just finished watching - "Sedam i po". It's Serbian, and one of the few movies from my region made in recent years that managed to move me.

Imdb says: 7 stories from the hood are intertwined with the same leitmotif of Seven Mortal Sins, in a dark humorous way dealing with everyday lives of the people of New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) who are obsessed with their weaknesses and driven by passions. Nothing human is strange to them and they don't hesitate to go beyond morality since they have a concept of their own ethics.

All seven stories merge into a catharsis finale.

Yet the story of Seven Mortal Sins doesn't tend to moralize – it discovers that there is and should be a moment of catharsis and redemption although the characters make mistakes. Their lives, in Christian terms, aren't sinful, and their weaknesses are caused by the context we live in."

In short, if you can find it with subtitles in your language, I strongly recommend watching it.

Looks pretty heavy Jameerica! I'll try to remember the title? Confused

I've saw some pretty good films at the London Film Festival last year (I know I'm out of date, but haven't been on the computer enough to join in - also got entranced by Twitter and Facebook!)

The Road - I was really impressed with this - it was a horrible film! Very real and really bleak! Not sure I'd want to recommend it but if you'd like to feel paranoid about everything and everyone, go see it!

Bright Star (about the poet Keats) was very pretty but also a quiet film and rather sad.

A Serious Man (Coen Bros) was good - but I still prefer the oldies (Fargo, Big Lebowski!)

Bunny and the Bull was pretty awesome - funny and weird too. A little Mighty Boosh like (same writer?)

Anyway, that's me for now. Over and out!

Avatar in 3D... AMAZING!!!! Those landscapes, the nature, the lights, you really enjoy the visuals.

But I must say that the plot was predictable, but details about the planet, the life, etc, are very original, and also the ideas and point of views about the "civilization process" are interesting, something I think made the movie much more than just eye candy Wink

*turist mode on*

Avatar! Such a great film! Once in a lifetime something like this is made...the details are great! The story not so much tho but the result is simply fantastic! 3D even better= obviously

Also today I'm doing the only forbidden thing = rent and watch Twilight but I couldn't help it since I got the books and I'm stick to them like a fly...now I felt curious about the film...

That's normal right? Very Happy

I hate Edward! He doesn't have a personality and the same for Bella... I would rather date the Wolfy Jacob than them (Edward and Bella).
Plus... Jacob sounds me more interesting Cool Rolling Eyes Very Happy

The two last films I watched are quite old already, but worth to mention.

They're about the "eternal struggle between the US and Canada".
I name the "South Park" movie and "Canadian Bacon". Very Happy
