JAY TURNED DOWN BY LOCAL COUNCIL
Hi everyone, I found this article today...
Wycombe District Council turn down Jamiroquai singer's bid for new building in Princes Risborough
10:20am Sunday 10th January 2010
JAMIROQUAI singer Jay Kay has been refused permission to put up a new storage building in the grounds of his Princes Risborough mansion.
The star made a bid to build a storage building 'to house equipment and machinery' to Wycombe District Council.
But it was rejected on the grounds that its form, bulk, scale and “extensive roof span” was considered “detrimental to the character and appearance of the area”.
The planned building would have been 15 metres by 18 metres and more than four metres tall at the ridge.
In 2004, Kay was granted planning permission to build a go-kart track at his Horsenden Manor home.

It's his mansion so he should be able to do and build what he wants!! _________________

Yes Its his mansion, being that his house is a historical property, I thought that if you live in a home like that , don't you have to comply to building restrictions? I found it strange that they let him build a go -cart track. well he is a car buff with $,$$$,$$$ , maybe not so strange. _________________

Yep, right about the historical property! But it's not like if it was something we can visit.. so...
Yeah that's illogical! No problem for a go-kart track but NO for a storage building.. it's crazy! _________________

Well, he can always re-submit the request. It doesn't look like a building that can "ruin" the character of the property to me. I really don't get it _________________
