News about Stuart and Toby
Hello Jamirotalkers,
According to the great Funkin.com site, it says that Toby Smith stayed in touch with Sony Music, and has been working hard with a new UK artist called Jamie Scott. Toby has produced and written much of the debut album by Jamie (entitled "Soul Searching") which is released in October of this year. The album is preceded by his debut single, "Just", which is released next month.
And about Stuart; FOX News is reporting that Leonardo DiCaprio is such a big fan of a group put together by ex-Jamiroquai bassist Stuart Zender that he's offered to invest money in the group. The group "Leroy", is the brainchild of Stuart, and is apparently a cross between The Beatles and Earth, Wind and Fire.
Hehe, www.funkin.com/news for the info.
Bye,
D! (diego) |

I guess it's clear now that Toby perhaps did want to get away from Jay, rather than take some "time off"
Glad to know Leroy aren't in the Azur phase as well _________________

And that also shows that there is no way Toby will be writing songs with Jay...
Can't wait to hear all the new stuff from the "ex-Jamiroquais" ;)

The success of the Ex Jamiroquais
Hello, :bm_r:
I'm so proud of Stu & Toby's success so far in their careers, I second that emotion Mouse ! I'm so excited to hear what Stu's "Leroy" band comes up with for their debut album, but it will be hard for me to believe that their sound is a cross between the Beatles and EW&F, just pre-album hype I'm guessing..hehe . Also in turn, I listened to some of Jamie Scott's new stuff at his Official Site, boy it sounds Great , Toby still has that magic with the pen ! Thanks for listening and Peace !
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000 _________________

BUMP.
Hi guys, thought I would add a little info to the Leroy/DiCaprio story. I recently heard that the whole story was just a PR stunt setup by the keyboardist of Leroy, who is apparently good friends with DiCaprio!
this is by no-means from a reliable source, but then I do wonder why they would bother setting up a PR stunt without following it up closely with a release or something!?!
oh well, only time will tell I guess. _________________ Bass Transcriptions coming soon! |
