Bud Light is the best
Low cal but with the same great taste of budweiser
It's only available in Ireland since the end of 2007 and yet i was drinking it in the states in 1997..........saying that i love Ireland and i didn't miss it too much.....A friend of mine emailed the brewery for like about two yrs before it was introduced here so amongst our friends she and she alone is the girl that brought bud light to ireland.......ha, ha....

Haha that would also make a good topic - what beers you really hate... Laughing . I've got to try some real German beers. The trouble is, here in NZ there are alot of breweries founded by German families, but they're not quite the same as Genuine German beer.

To quote coccorico from the official Montréal Canadiens forum, who quoted her brother:

Quote:
"la budlight ça goûte la pisse de chat à la cannelle, mais sans la cannelle"

Translation: Budlight tastes like cat pee with cinnamon, but without the cinnamon

A cheap and tasty choice for me: Heineken.

Another good one: Grolsch.

And Dave Grolsch from Foo Fighters is another good one...

Hi all. Personally I'm a huge fan of the original Belgian Whitebeer, Hoegaarden, though I've recently heard this is a beer for girls Shocked Embarassed .
Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations for a good beer? I love sitting back after a hard day's work with a beer Very Happy .

Spirits and wine recommendations also welcome.

Teecheedeedee, Laughing seems to me a beer named Hoegaarden would be for the guys. haha.

and Shiner bock is my favorite at the moment! Drinking one right now...Cheers! 2drunk

Here in mexico we have so many good beers.

My personal favorite is Negra modelo
Then you have modelo especial, which is fresh I like.
There are several "regional" brands such as montejo and is a bit rare to get it here in the northwest part of mexico, but you find it... and there is a beer that is emblematic of the pacific ocean: cerveza pacifico! maan this is the good stuff.

American beer I like MGD a lot.
And for japanese I´m into asahi, of course... but i belive you get that everywhere, i like the taste, but is different from the one you get in japan, since it is bottled (and I belive brewed, by molson in canada)

oh and add Varka (or is it Warka) beer from Poland. Smile

great idea...let's all leave, go get our favorite beers from all over and sample them together online. It will be a beer tasting we can enjoy without having to drive! Very Happy

Anyone interested? 4butterfly idk what happened to the mugobeer icon, but this butterfly will have to do instead. Wink

Even if I drink rarely at home when I'm alone or just with Rosa, these last times I drink more Simon Régal, the more malty beer by Simon. The one Simon Bartholemew is holding in his hands on Peggy's picture:

Although, the last beer I bought has been Super Bock, because they had a Portuguese week at the Cactus supermarkets, where they sold boxes of 24 25cl bottles for less than 10€, real value for your money and a nice taste too, especially when served chilled!
