| Oh, and this light behind the BM might just be a hint, that the cover is "shining" somehow.. mabye a reflecting print or something like that?! That would be nice! |
Yeah, I wondered about that. Shiny would be cool. Kinda like the 12" promo box set from a few years ago (at least I think it was shiny!). |
no freaking way!! today a shine like that is very commonly used when designers are bad and don't know how to improve an image!

I really wish it's just a 'promo' artwork. It's nice, simple and all... but give me some A Funk Odyssey type of artwork!
Like Inkgel said, Jay apparently said the photos were for the album cover. |

haha ... the "Rock Dust Light Star" Cover looks like a negative to Emergeny on Planet Earth |
Hmmmm ....very delightfully monochromatic looking the cover it looks...and why by jove new jamirofont....it's nice I guess. But, I think the real nag for me is the album title, of course not confirmed yet, till the 'morrow, but 'Rock Dust Light Star'...really? But you could look at this album title, IF LEGIT, as a good metaphorical progression of album titled from EOPE to this new album, at least that is an interesting 'side thought' I had today. Masterful spotting as always Brother Dye, see you all tomorrow for 'Pre-Announcement 2: Electric Boogaloo'...hehe .
Sincerely,

I think the pictures taken are for the inner sleeves, the album front cover itself might feature the buffalo man back again! (At least i bloody wish that) _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper... |

My thoughts too - it's too simple for an album cover, no real idea or meaning behind. Even the HT cover with the headgear in the sand and with the planet of the apes feeling was a sensational one! |

Hm there was an announcement stating that 'RDLS' is going to be the title of the album and that it will be released in November. When I clicked on it I got an empty page, I went back and now it is gone... |

Yup, I guess that's official then. The reason why there's nothing on the 'next' page is that whoever wrote the news hasn't put anything in the main body of the news item. There's a 'introduction' and a 'body'. The introduction is shown on the homepage, and the body on the individual news page. I guess one just hasn't been added.
No official news of the cover though... |

The extra stuff...
We're delighted to announce that Jamiroquai’s new album ‘Rock, Dust, Light, Star’ is to be released by Mercury Records in November 2010!
It’s the 7th Jamiroquai studio album and the first in 5 years.
We think at a time when many acts are producing electronic, disco influenced tracks, with ‘Rock, Dust, Light, Star’ Jamiroquai has moved on and reverted to a more organic, live sound. The shift really helped revitalise the band who ended up producing a superb album - even if we do say it ourselves! We hope you all agree as you get to hear it.
Jay says, "Everything on the record is live .It’s a real band record. The last, album – fantastic – but the whole thing became a little sterile. This time we’ve captured the flow of our live performances’.
The album has been recorded mainly at Jay’s home studio in Buckinghamshire, and also at legendary Hook End Manor in Oxfordshire. The album is entirely written by Jay Kay and the band, and produced by Jay alongside first time collaborators Charlie Russell and Brad Spencer.
The first taster of the album will be the rattling groove of ‘White Knuckle Ride’, available only on strictly limited edition vinyl prior to the album. It’s a hi-octane retrospective on Jay’s career experiences - a cautionary tale equally applicable to anyone’s life in these pressure cooker times. This will be followed by lead single ‘Blue Skies’ in November, an epic, blissful, sun-kissed Californian mid tempo song with lush string arrangements and perhaps Jay’s most emotive vocal to date - pure class. Make sure you comment and tell us what you think on www.jamiroquai.com. _________________

For better view of "dust" & "light" of the buffaloman "rock star" - the negative of the cover:

RDLS - explains why Jay kept saying "all will make sense" at their recent gigs. I like the cover (whether it be single / album).
Nicki honey - you already own the perfect t-shirt to compliment the new album! Perhaps you should sell your design to Jamiroquai.com for their next tour _________________ Jamiroquai - it's stitched into the clothes that I wear... |
