Hi Meike,

I've got one humble question to the bandmembers:

Does Rock Dust Like Star will be a full "Rock"album like the lp's title track or can we expect some funky, soul or jazz songs?

Think so, bro, here are some obvious questions I could come up with:

- How and why did JK decide to collaborate with Charlie Russell & Brad Spence for the song writing for RDLS?

- How has the transition, both creative and personal, been for you and the band to the new record contract with Mercury/Universal Music?

- How do you think Jamiroquai's overall sound has changed/modified/evolved in the last 5 years inbetween album commitments and the new album writing process?

- Will we be surprised by any past bandmember appearances/contributions on RDLS? Will we see the grand return of the yiddaki (didgeridoo) to current/future Jamiroquai material/performances?

- This isn't the first time that JK and Jamiroquai have tried to do a new album in the 'live sound arena', first attempt being with 2001's 'A Funk Odyssey', how do you fared in Jamiroquai's 2nd try to bring the 'live effect' into the new album?

- How in the blue hell did JK's vocals come back SO STRONGLY? New healthy regiment OR just taking care of himself so well?

Wink There are my question contributions, cheers Wink !

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

What artists would Jamiroquai like to collaborate with in the future? And has anyone from the band heard of the awesome group known as Moses Mayes?

Hi Meike, look who's here Very Happy

my questions:
did they found all the freedom they were searching for leaving Sony?
do fan's expectations influence the creative process of the album?
if they have to label the album in a gender of music which one will they choose?

bumpin' heart
Vere & Ady

feel free to correct them grammatically if one will be used Wink

Good idea Meike Very Happy I'm really excited if you get some good answers!!

Brent and Vere already asked everything I want to know - so just one question from me:
will there be a great tour after releasing the album?

My question:

If this new album sounds very different and organic, are they not afraid to loose fans OR are they trying to get new fans ? Or is it just evolution ?

1) How much did the record company influence the final song selection for
"Rock Dust Light Star"

2) Who does your mastering and which gear are they using? 7cd

3)Did anybody of the bandmembers buy some new gear for a special sound they wanted to achieve for the new songs?

-Can we expect some B-Sides songs in future singles like in the early years? We still believe Bullet should've been in the final cut of the album!

-From the new recorded songs, which ones are your favorites up to this point?

-What is your least favorite Jamiroquai song from the most recent catalogue?

-We know the new album has an eye on the organic feel, the live instrumentation. After the contract with Sony, in which position the entire band was when you started planning the new material? Was that the plan of making a 'studio' album with less machines or maybe you all just let it flow, creatively speaking?

____

Questions from a friend:

-Is there a plan for a latin american tour (Argentina, Chile)?

-Which Jamiroquai song identify you the most?

Goodness, everyone has been hard at work. I can't think of anything else right now, but reading everyone's questions am sure there are already plenty for the band to answer and probably more to come.
Good work Meike good Jamirovibes all around Heart

Great ! It means you (Meike) will be allowed to have some Q/A Very Happy

I have a question but it has nothing to do with the new album RDLS, but is in my head since a few time:

Why Time won't wait didn't make it in the regular edition of the Dynamite album ?

Cheers

Seb

- Since we are now at the end (or is it the beginning?) of the decade, which album of the past ten years has amazed you (in a good way) and why?

I know my question is not "jamiroquai" related, it's about music itself, I think it's cool to know his/her thoughts about music and other artists.

good luck with the interview! Very Happy

mines are:

-there's a chance the band can make a video just based on fans?
i mean, with all live images, and people faces showed

-why the band take to many years to make a new record?

-theres' plans to help a new band calling them as support band for the upcomins gigs?

-how the dynamite cadillac dissapeared?is that story true?

-there will be another live track inside the album like in some special editions?

-the fans would get some the chance to make our own artworks and share them with the band to be used in singles?

-wich songs-from bands that dont play funk or jazz-is the band listening at this times?

i mean, dont even house music or related, could be rock, pop, reggae, ska...

-the''5 bucks song'' for download only, will be available as jay said or wont be ever downloable as first single?

-there's a chance the band works togheter with more bands, even bands that sound really different from the common jamiroquai sound, at near future?

-the band will do some special release-jus for fans-trough jamirotalk in the near future?

for example, here in argentina andres calamaro trough the site camisetas para todos release some special tracks from the gig, so, the band can do the same.

-the old part of jamiroquai.com full of the pics of jay cars will be back someday????

-what are the band thoughs about current obama times?

-there's a chance jay kay would join jamirotalk, at least for a week?

-if there's a chance to meet another bands, wich bands jamiroquai would like to work with it-help them-meet them and partying?
