Wouldn't be something new, IIRC, this has something to do with High times. I have other 3 wallpapers with the same filename pattern, CG, TWM and Canned Heat. |
Certainly, but I would think, to keep the artwork in continuity, they will need to have the Buffaloman standing, being composed of clouds or event vapor trails from a passing plane, on a cloud or something . Still, a good rendering, definitely should be considered for that vinyl art. Cheers!
Sincerely,

I'm confused, Little L was released as the first single on August 13th. And A Funk Odyssey on September 3rd.
If White Knuckle Ride is released in August, why is there so much time until the album release? Perhaps Blue Skies is the lead single like it says in funkin?
Mmm... let's wait. |
It seems to be a real new trend to release a single many months before an album, I don't get it. Some people will just buy whatever the radio tells them to, but if the album comes out 2 to 3 months after the song is "hot" then something else will come along and you lose those random sales.
Here is a good example: Katy Perry (whom I completely despise) released her summer hit California Girls on May 7th (according to Wikipedia) and that song was on every single top 40 station and MTV over and over again. The album isn't even out yet (Aug 24th). So you totally lose out on any person who wouldn't normally buy that album but really liked the song and may have picked it up just for that. Really stupid IMO |

The thing is, since I heard live at Debut, I try to understand "Rock Dust Light Star" as one sentence.
But I guess it should be Rock-Dust-Light-Star.
To me, these 4 words put in this order are an analogy to an evolution, from the Earth to the Sky. Now I don't know what Jay wants to represent by different steps of that evolution. Something like going they're coming from, the past? |
Very smart mate ! Thanks for this quality reply !

Well, as Jay keeps saying that "all would make sense in November" with the title track of the album, strangely today, I got my opinion on it.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first full studio album with Paul Turner. |

You're right... He "only" recorded "Radio" & "Runaway" with Jamiroquai... _________________ Max. |

One thing that hasn't changed over the years is the no-holds-barred, informed and opinionated mind of Jason Kay. The album title track – a vibey party tune with a pointed message – came about during a Far East tour.
“I was sat in Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur, working. And we were having dinner and a few people turned up. I don't know who they were, I didn't particularly like them. Anyway, the whole subject got on to religion. And I'm not a religious person, never have been. But I always find it fascinating, the whole concept of religion, things that there doesn't seem to be any existing proof of.
“And I got quite pissed off with the conversation and I was like, sod this, I'm off. And I started thinking… I am a great believer in the fact that we're gonna get hit by a bit of rock one day. It's happened before, it'll happen again.”
Kay's thoughts of meteors started him thinking about the stuff of life.
“The title is effectively about what we're made of. We are all made up of this funny dust call stardust. I just thought to myself, it'd be nice if we could also look outwards a little bit more, instead of inwards, which is praying. If you do see a big flash in the sky, get on your knees all you like – it's not gonna save any of us.
“I just wanted to get it off my chest, really. There's a great deal religion has to answer for on all fronts. So the song in a way is a bit of an 'up yours'. 'Salvation coming from on-high'? You'll get it when we're hit by a bit of rock the size of your bedroom going 40,000 miles per second. That's gonna cause an awful lot of mess. It'll take us back to the stone age in about 38 seconds.” |
