"Do It Like We Used To Do" appreciation thread!
I was coming back from uni yesterday, waiting for the train at almost midnight. And Do It Like We Used To Do started on my player.
It was as if I heard that song for the first time all over again. I haven't listened that one in a while, and I thought to myself 'damn, this is one hell of a song!'. Upbeat, strings, horns, almost 8 minutes long. And it's taken from the A Funk Odyssey era!
Some of their best songs are B sides. I wonder why the hell they are not in the final version of the album (Bullet being my prime example).
I want this kind of songs in the new album, just musicians playing their instruments, that's it.

I think is a great song too.
I think it was removed from the album because it doesn't fit with the album's style. |

maybe didn't fit with the concept of a funk odyssey, but there was "stop don't panic"  too...
yeah, a great song, the guitar is funky as hell in this one, so are the strings, the drums... amazing, after all, I consider A.F.O a great album. |
