Good question, well, here is at least my breakdown :
Emergency On Planet Earth : FIRST SINGLE:
When You Gonna Learn? : Pretty much shot off the first 'humanity needs more confident foreward thinking enviromentalism' musical salvo about 10-15 years before Bono & Chris Martin decided to become activists on a world stage.
The Return Of The Space Cowboy : FIRST SINGLE:
Space Cowboy : Although the drugs had began to affect Jamiroquai's music, thankfully the non intrusive ones for SC, notably marijuana, doe-eyed JK and the Jamiroketeers 2nd album was more of a 'humanistic domestic policy' effort.
Travelling Without Moving: FIRST SINGLE:
Virtual Insanity : The World mainstream crossover may have been grand for further exposure to Jamiroquai's breed of forgotten funk, but at the very least VI still showed the newly Tophatted, exotic car driving JK still tried to bring scary awareness of our continuely technologically artificial world.
Synkronized : FIRST SINGLE:
Canned Heat : JK was slightly reeling from the 'more disturbing drug excess', bandmember fleetings & basic naughtiness. But Syn brought Jamiroquai's musical direction back to a 'TWOMlike' musical transition period to fill more discoteques rather than GREENPEACE activist meetings.
A Funk Odyssey : FIRST SINGLE:
Little L : Continuing to further their musical grasp on the world's dancefloor, LL catapulted them past the green novel earth and into the upper 'George Clinton' accessable fringes of outer spatial funk-2-tude!
Dynamite : FIRST SINGLE:
Feels Just Like It Should : Rehabbing JK, having expressed alot of self-doubt, made a triumphant return with Dynamite, re-tempering Jamiroquai disco capability with new 'unexpected' tech tools and remarkable poignant lyrical retrospection.
To Be Announced : FIRST SINGLE :
Rock Dust Light Star : Even with how cryptic the song title and lyrics instills in the impatient Jamily of fans, there is NO DOUBT, Jamiroquai is back, however undesirable they sound to the instant naysayers, to astound us with new musical surprises even the hardiest long following fans couldn't predict with rampant speculation.
There you go, just my impressions of the last +18 years of Jami's first singles...ENJOY! Cheers!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000[/b] _________________

First of all, TROTSC is clearly my favourite Jamiroquai album, if not even my favourite album at all! It's with the EOPE album the jazziest our guys have produced!
I prefer Jay's achievements under the influence of weed way more than under cocaine!!! _________________

After the Synkronized debacle I stopped having huge expectations for Jamiroquai. I like the new song. It’s breezy in the intro – it gets weird elsewhere which is fine – I’m more of a scavenger hunter these days urgently looking for gems. The new music should reinforce my love of Jay’s unique falsetto – this song does. |

Agree...
Rather having a trippy music endeavour like in the past, than a later cocaine addict egocentrist...
By the way, the gigs are impressing me more and more, i'd tap this tour and these gigs might be a direct hint about the new album, that's what i wanna believe. _________________ At the speed of cheeba, you and I go deeper...

Yeah gotta agree with the post-apocalyptic idea... a meteor would make sense... but being a night owl, as well as being bored, I found this:
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100621063757AAk5EKa
(they included links!!)
and I personally wonder if RDLS will be faster paced then its live counterpart because when I sing the chorus, it seems as though it should have a faster tempo... just a thought (sing it to yourself just a bit faster, either its gonna be faster or there is plenty of opportunity for a dance remix) _________________

I already unedited that.
I'm keeping an eye on that page everyday, so don't worry. |
