Yeah, I'm suspicious of it, too. If you look at the other items the seller has up for auction, you won't see any other cds... just some clothes. |

Besides, if he's even done a mix for this track, wouldn't it be Alan Braxe? _________________

As I've said before, in one other post. I've got already the CD downloaded from the Internet, containing 8 tracks. Someone must have grabbed it too, and made covers at home.
There 8 remixes for that song, being realesed officially later. These 8 tracks were uploaded to the Internet on 25-08-2010. Pretty soon, huh!? _________________

Hello again,
That Ebay auction picture make look faked promo, mostly due to the way it's presented in that plastic slipcase ... but, they could HAVE issued ANOTHER promo for WKR, just found this on YouTube, pretty good new remix :
- White Knuckle Ride (Alan Braxe Remix)

So..
..many opinions and first feelings were written in this thread and as I wasn`t here for some time here is mine then:
It don`t touch my heart anymore. And it is not about how I like or dislike the new direction Jamiroquai chose to go. When I first listen to Jamiroquai tune back in 1997 I didn`t know that acid jazz or even jazz exist or that one day I will like the music in this style. But Jamiroquai and their music touch something in me that couldn`t be stoped, something that forced me to learn more about the possibilities in music variety. Althought variety seems to be trademark for Jamiroquai through the years and nowadays also, it partly lost that irreplaceable touch.
Also the move from Columbia Records/Sony to Mercury Records/Universal I don`t catch properly - their chaotic and incomprehensible marketing when I am not able to understand if the single really IS out right now or NOT (as I would like to promote them in my radio show) isn`t something I was expecting from not so small label. As I am facebook administrator for many czech most popular bands (doing it completaly for free) I am able to do better work than those behind that so-called marketing workers. The behind the scenes or how it could be called videos are only little something that looks really good, but why they are only in the worst possible size and quality?
And to be honest - musically I like the Penguin Prison`s remix quite more than the original mix as he added quite well acoustic guitar riff in the beggining of the second part of it that sounds good to me and even better than the production of the original mix. As many of you here I also think it is overproduced so I would like to hear "the real live" studio version of it one day primarily without the annoying voice distorter (that is useful only for singer who don`t know how to sing).
So it doesn`t seems optimistic for my "relationship" with the band but we will see.
But as I was optimistic before Dynamite came up as I trusted Jays words about the back to the roots vibe that never happened, I am quite skeptic these days.. |
