judging by some of the fans' reactions to this song, i don't think there is a extended version  ...i just think that there has to be something unique about the first single or else why would they release them both at the same time?

I've spoken to a few people and they can't work this one out either. Can anyone think of a good reason for doing this? I mean, am I missing something obvious?
Could it be that in the age of digital downloads, albums get sold as a collection of single tracks and any sales that include Blue Skies get counted towards the BS "single"? Or something like that...? I really have no idea on this one.

It seems weird to me when Jay on Hyde Park said he would waved to the crowd for the needs of the album cover, finally it was true...
funny to see those coloured squares that they had on Photoshop

Yeah, looks like Hyde Park...
The picture's rather fine and would be OK for a live album.
But I did expect more for a studio album, something more "iconic" (yeah, buffalo man involved !  )
And regarding the colour squares :
- Jay: "I want this pic as my album cover artwork"
- Photoshop guy : "OK, I'll rework the lights, make you look good"
- Universal guy: "Yeah, but, look, behind your legs, it's all a big black block"
- Jay: "Bollocks! I want this on my album!"
- Photoshop guy: "Nevermind, I'll work something out, I still have 10 minutes before I have to leave and catch my bus home..."
