When I heard they would be shooting the videos for WKR and Blue Skies paralel I thought it would be a similar combo to Robbie Williams's Eternity & Road To Mandalay with a real story like a short movie, bandmembers appearing in tiny roles maybe Jay doing some acting as well.
But now the net of these 2 videos and the album cover is again the following: Jamiroquai is still Jay and the videos are only made for showing his toys to the wide audience  |

Maybe the story continues throughout the two videos?
Jay mentioned wanting to make short films for his videos and seeing that they are usually somewhere between 10 and 20 minutes to really get the story told... one video would never suffice.

Winterkat, you made my day!! Someone saying something positive!!! Hahaha!!! Good to know that not everyone is dissapointed!
I, myself, am not very into helicopers, cars, and bikes... but still I see the message and it's fine with me.
The artwork is not my taste, maybe also because I am graphic designer myself... but I also see the message and appreciate that.
I feel it is really hard to make a "jamiroquai fan" happy these days. Hard job! Hahaha!!
Still waiting for the whole album to get the bigger picture. It can't be that bad, when I remember Jay's enthusiasm backstage in Ahaus!!

It could have been a Russ Meyer video too 
But yeh, as je has said before - he set 'the bar very high with the likes of Virtual Insanity & anything after that would be hard to live up to.

I am sure it must have come as a surprise
Like I have said in another topic... I am very opinionated. I say things how I feel them, so good and bad
I also realise that it helps that I love fast machines like crazy and that not everyone shares that. But even if you don't, you have to admit that the scenery is stunning, some shots are absolutely mindblowing and at least appreciate Jay's flying skills. The sync with the Porsche is beyond crazy. It is insane what he does with that heli!
My favorite shots:
WKR
+/- 0.45 when the heli comes from below
as said before the parts where they are in sync
1.06 - 1.21 is FENOMENAL!!!
the part with the Porsche in the sand between the trees
3.02-3.03 the Porsche seen through the fence
BS
1.36-1.40 DROOL!
1.58-2.00 + 2.05-2.10 + 2.13-2.24 : beautiful!!
2.40 with the bike in the forefront and the sunlight
2.52-2.55
3.44-3.50
4.45 is insane!!!
All those shots are gems!
I am not crazy about the colouring of the vids but the resolution is low and it could be because of that.

not what i really expected from both videos, so i am slightly disappointed
the WKR video made no sense and did not suit with the song itself, its more like CG part II, except without the bandmembers, explosives towards the end....on a positive note, jay is talented in what he's doing
i actually like BS video, it did a better job suiting the concept of the song and once again we do see jay doing something cool
the more i think about it, RDLS is just a personal album done from the point of view of jay and no one else, i feel like this time it is not about JMQ but Jay as a individual and front man of a band

I like the cover, and I think the BS video fits perfectly with the song-lyrics. But I agree that the WKR video is not very good, and both videos are a bit boring-similar. No money?
Anyway, I'm happy that we'll have a new album coming out in a few days and a new tour in a few months. Looking forward to hear the new songs!!

Yep, it definitely is Cosmic Girl Part II.
I bet the story continues in the next video (Blue Skies). Just this one alone doesn't make much sense. |

After watching both videos al i have to say is : THANX !!!
I love BS and WKR . they show me something different . and yeah wkr could have been better if the chasing part had less minutes , but i stil love it . also the quality of both videos are great ( thanx universal) .
for the old fans (included me) :i know both dont look like the classic jamiroquai videos , but as someone said , they set the bar too high with virtual insanity .
and to be honest , now , i like the album more and more .

hmm indeed the negative approaches dominate here...
i personally am quite intrigued with the new sh*t, pretty good opening songs, different videos etc (ok the lp artwork seems kind of weird but can live with it). maybe it is hard for me to actually SEE the bad things about jmrq and maybe am living in denial since i've been a fan for like 15 years or sth, but i really do like what i'm hearing/seeing... dunno.
it just seems that if one bashes the new stuff so heavily then one probably wasn't a big fan of 'em in the first place.

ok, till somebody send me both videos for download(mpeg will be too much, thats why i ask wmv)somebody can post me pics of the porsche, bike and helicopters?
ill do this time my own reseacrh about what kind of...are they
i need the videos, but by now i can expect them if i see the kind of things i love in videos
