Reading all the postive comments on here and on Funkin about these samples is really making me so excited!
However....
I am resisting the temptation! I am going to wait until I have the CD! The wait is killing me but I WILL do it! _________________ 'This is the world he wants, pray for the brave and the young...' |

I am so happy to feel the positive vibes on the forums taking over again!
we should do a syncronized party when the album is out! _________________ "Here it is...there is no way to make it better " |

amazing songs !!!! the big question is .. if they had songs like she is a fast persuader or two complete different things , why blue skies as the first single ??
now coming back to the topic. i love lifeline !!!! it sounds great . the only one dissapointing so far is all good in the hood (acoustic version) although i have to listen it completly first.
smoke and mirrors is a song that i dunno why i am gonna end up loving . two completely different things is a twm song definitely !!!

Meike was suggesting the idea of that Jay wanted to tell his story with those 2 tracks in combination and pushed them for being a single.
I also believe that Jamiroquai didn´t want to get first reviews like " Oh they do what they always did, nothing special " . don´t forget for the average listener lots of jamiroquai songs sound the same ( lol)
Also everybody got really curious about the rest of the album...is it gonna be a pop album? will there be lots of " blue skies" sounding songs?... I think they were very clever..
maybe it has a completely different reason..maybe it will be answered in an interview sometime!

I'm finding myself replaying tracks 7-10 (Lifeline, Fast Persuader, 2CDT and GTMD)...That is shaping up to be a fantastic four-pack of songs right there.
But I gotta ask Jamarcus about taking a point off of FP because "it's about fellatio." I mean, you're entitled to your opinion, but the last album had more than a couple of sexual references -- and some were more explicit than what we've heard on the FP sample. Did nobody notice how in 'Angeline' there is a verse/chorus that goes "But the bad things that you do/They got me all mixed up in you"? 'All Mixed Up In You' was one of the song titles in the Jamiroquai.com studio video that was written on the dry erase board as not being on the album...along with 'Super Highway' and 'I've Been Working'. So it looks like we do get this song, the name was just changed to 'Angeline' When the snippet of 'Angeline' starts up, I get a Michael Jackson's 'Bad' vibe, the beat is kinda similar. _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. I’m a hypocrite. If the opportunity to fellate JK would come my way I wouldn’t hesitate. That doesn’t mean I want to hear about his experiences with it in a song. My God can some things be left to the imagination. Does that make me a prude? Threesomes (Radio) and losing your virginity (FJLIS) don’t compete with fellatio! The track’s production is awesome. I sort of wish the majority of the album sounded like this song without the raunchy storyline. |

Loving the clip of "Two Completely different things" and cannot for the life of me imagine why Jamiroquai would pick "Blue Skies" over this as a single. |

Sandra, very dangerous what you are doing!! Keep in mind that most tracks will be better in full version. Now you have a lot of songs 9 or 10...can it be even better? Your ratings of the full versions will end on 11 or 12 |

I'll rate the songs when the album is out for real.
But after having listened to those snippets I might say that the album seems to become good after all, even with RDLS and Hurtin' on it.
I'm happy! _________________
