SYNK wasn’t the follow-up the American audience wanted. It was a radical departure sound wise. Stuart’s firing, and a rush to finish killed what could’ve been. The first single was a 180, the video was bizarre and campy. Unfortunately this would be the last time they would have solid commercial relevance.
Napoleon Dynamite – years latter framed Canned Heat for a younger generation who could embrace song then. J’s so transparent calling the follow up to AFO – Dynamite! Does J know how perfect SDISJ actually is?
By the way American fans if there’s no US release there’s no US tour date. Part of the incentive for distributing JAQ stateside is the band already has a niche audience and can possibly grow the niche through a select few tour dates domestically. |

i'm sure they will release it in america soon, i mean if they have done it in the past 6 albums, why would they make an exception for RDLS? they know they have a fanbase in north america, maybe not a huge fanbase but they won't leave the american fans hanging

I almost would have to agree that the U.S should receive bonus material. I just don't understand why, what with internet and the ability to reach the entire world (pretty much), Jamiroquai or any band or label would choose to give bonus material only to certain regions. I find it baffling. iTunes get an extra White Knuckle Ride remix, Play.com gets the That's Not the Funk I Want japanese bonus track and the Irish get to stream 5 tracks for free before release (on October 29th for them no less). I'm sure there are other odd inconsistencies that only serve to piss off some fans in another country.
I don't believe U.S fans want more because they're from the U.S - they might want a little more incentive considering the unbearable wait for a physical release in their own country. |

Some duets with Shakira, jonas brothers or lady gaga......they are big sellers in the U.S
