Jamiroquai @u JT de TF1 (1rst Nov)
I just read on Fb (Thanks to Elisabeth) that there was something about Jamiroquai on the french News Broadcast this evening!

You can watch the video again on their website:
Arrow http://videos.tf1.fr/jt-20h/jamiroquai-le-retour-aux-sources-6123040.html

And as I'm not sure it works for the rest of the world.. here's the download link Wink
Arrow http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZM9H8FBK

It's all in french, so I'll try to write the whole thing in french this evening.. and then you guys would be able to 'Google Translate' it after!

You're right mate Smile

But I've heard something very interessting about the CD Cover from RDLS in France Info

http://www.france-info.com/chroniques-france-info-culture-2010-11-01-le-mois-de-la-photo-494565-81-336.html

(The second half)

Now I see this cover in another point of view (maybe we can create a topic about this)

Yeah I know, that guy probably didn't hear it to call it redundant Mad and as always.. they're still making no real difference between JayKay/Jamiroquai! Rolling Eyes
Anyway.. that JT is a big thing so.. that's good for people who didn't know about the new album!

Quote:

The same idea as the lyrics from White Knuckle Ride

Jay is showing how many people he can bring together for his Gigs : So we see the crowd at the background. It symbolize his fame.

But at the same time Jay is smiling and seems to have fun, because he is showing his bottom to the photographs in the background. So it symbolize
his famous hate against paparazzis. And the pressure from the celebrity.

So the CD cover : Fame and its problems.

Hey don't complain, even if there are a few flaws in the coverage.

Our favourite band has been mentionned in France's most viewed news programme, the 20 heures on TF1.

This means they must be quite popular in France, doesn't it?

i really don't think there is any hidden meaning behind the cover, you are over analysing. The album is also anti-religion?

it's just a bad shot of him & so is the one inside the deluxe version.

im just waiting for the slipcase one Wink

anyway - yes Andre, it's coverage in France Very Happy

Right!

guys I have something to say to all of you:

STOP IT! PLEASE !!

YOU'RE OVERTHINKING EVERY ASPECT OF THE NEW ALBUM!

the videos, the lyrics (I don't know how many tunes you found "a second King For A Day part"), the title of the album, and now its cover!!!

STOPIT!! please!!!!

it is ridiculous!!

you are comming every day with another ridiculous and stupid theory about some detail in the album! it's insane!

I'm sure if Jay comes and read this forum he will have a good laugh!

The videos are just they are, just 2 video shots in the same place and day, without meaning.

The lyrics are just some ramdom ladie based lyric that maybe Jay once knew, come on, he is not gay or it's not still mad bout what happened 10 years ago with Stu.

The title means just what Jay said about it. explained in an interview.

and the fucking cover is just a bad shot with a cheap photoshop applied. nothing more!

really guys I'm getting tired of those conspiration theories I read everyday here

It's related from the french radio. And if the videoclip of White Knuckle ride has a meaning, the same for the lyrics. Jay Kay in the last interviews talked about this. So IMO the cover is ugly but has a meaning.

You're perfectly right!

Yet, I don't like this news programme and I don't watch it (too close to government, not really objective etc...) but for Jamiroquai I'll make an exception! Wink

By the way, you're right again about this :the Reggae parts on RDLS are PERFECT (like the album: amazing!)
