What do you say to the DJ?
Hi Folks!

I was wondering if there any DJ's (like me) out here? 7headphones
And if yes, do you ever made some Jamiroquai mixes yourself?
I haven't but the ideas are rising in my mind lately. 'Cos I want to play more of them, but I'm not very fond of the remixes that allready exists Exclamation

There is one amongest us...
buffaloman_R Hello Lovely Adidas, :bm_r:

Well, I don't know many DJs, but here's a little known fact: JamiroTalk's own SmellBob has done her own mixes of some Jam songs. She goes by the name "DJ LAZA", and she may be a novice, but she has done a pretty set of baby steps of mixing Smile. I traded with a while back and she put on her mix of "Blow Your Mind", and I really liked it. If you want to hear a sample of one of her mixes, check out this link:

http://www.geocities.com/jamoke1717/downloads.htm
(Scroll down for the "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" (DJ LAZA mix))

There you go, she has more mixes, if you e-mail her, I'm sure she will put them up for download on her site. I might try my own hand at remixing Jamiroquai albums, I discovered that there is a game for the XBox where you can remix your own CD you own...I have always wanted to remix and mix of whole EOPE...once I can use it, I'll let you all know. Thanks for listening and take care Wink! Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Thanks for your reply! I enjoyed the remix by DJ Laza, but I just recognise too little from Jamiroquai supersonic white

I wonder if there are other people experimented with the music of Jamiroquai Question

I´ve mixed Space Cowboy with I get high on you (Sly and the family stone) and it sounds great. It´s a hard mixing song but the vocals of ay at the very beggining of the song helps a lot and sounds great (you know what I´m talking about, the pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa of the Roger Sanchez remix)
The problem with Space cowboy is that you have to put the speed of the vinyl very fast (I can´t splain it on english, but you know what I mean) for mixing it with almost everything. It´s sounds quite good but it´s a little funy coz Jay´s voice gets even higher than what we´re used to listen Razz

I also have Allright (only the second vinyl of the box, it was a present for a very friend of mine) but I havn´t done anything serious with it.

Djbliss ... wot kinda music do u wanna mix? and wot do u wanna play? CD or VINYL? of course it could be both but i think its the biggest question u face to ask urself when u start to DJ... i used to be obsessed with vinyl and the ability to scratch now im over that and am going to buy a set of CD Decks soon Smile wooo...
