LIFELINE? What a dissapointment |
yap, it's clear most people prefer All Good in the Hood as single. |

I really like it!
I think it was the best choice although none of the songs listed would be successful commercially. _________________ Fernando Freire |

Lifeline! Yes!
This one so far is my favorite! (& Fast Persuader)
I think they are releasing certain songs to certain regions. (WKR, BS)
None have been released in the U.S. yet.
I hope Lifeline is. |

Whatever they release as a single, it will never make everyone happy, so why bother?
We have all the songs, it's a matter of promotion that it doesn't really affect us.
Besides, all we get is poorly made remixes from people we don't even heard of. We don't even have physical releases of the singles like we used to!
It really makes no difference what song they choose as a single.
Although a video, they should make something actually interesting this time. Whole band, please. |

Yes, definitely.
But, if it makes it to my radio, I'd rather hear one of my favs! Cuz we kill our singles here, one day at a time! |

I hope this time we will have a maxi single, not a digital download...

WHY?? wouldn't you like a video featuring ridiculously expensive cars with jay driving them while singing? wouldn't that be awesome?...
seriously, lines like "back on the road with you again baby", "rolling down the sunny avenues" or "run away baby", make me worry a little bit, you know what I mean... those expressions might be taken too literal when making the new video |

I understand what he said, budgets for video clips are not what they used to be. But a good video doesn't have to be expensive. It just needs to be original, innovative... cool. Just a good idea.
Space Cowboy, for example, is one of their best, and is just one room, and a camera moving around. The rest is just editing, post-production. Something that with the technology of today, is way more simple.
Even High Times, is just documentary footage. Lifeline talks about being back on the road again, it can be translated to some sort of documentary-style with their latest tour, I don't know. It doesn't need to be directly connected with the lyrics.
The band hasn't played live in a video clip since Alright (with the exception of Supersonic). If they want to make people know the album is LIVE, something they have said on interviews over and over again, there isn't a better way than showing it in a video. With real instruments, real musicians playing them. Lifeline has strings, horns, it's a great oportunity to show that. |

I am really feeling Lifeline. I like this as a single, regardless of the order Jamiroquai and Mercury chose. There are other songs on RDLS that would also make for excellent singles, but in my opinion, this is a legit choice.
I'm admittedly biased, because I've been waiting for an anthem like this for a long time from Jamiroquai, but I am interpreting this song as being about a lifeline that is not an actual woman, but a certain plant, instead. I'm not saying that was the intent when it was written, I just enjoy it most from that point of view...
I'll have to wait and see if the spinning leaves from the ROTSC video turn up in a Lifeline video, too, but I'm obviously not holding my breath on this one! |

Hmmm, sort of a 'love letter' to Mary Jane. Interesting interpretation actually. _________________ Old school forever! |

Great choice - I love Liveline It always reminds me of "Stillness in time". It has the same easiness - it just makes you feel good. Would be a perfect song for a "whole band video" - like the SIT video |

One of the tracks of the album with more quality IMHO, good choice. _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |
