All good in the hood or all good in the hood?
You read it correctly, there's no mistake in the subject. I wanted to know, to those who have the deluxe edition, what version of the song do you like the most? The one in the album or the extra one?
IMO I like the album version 'cos it has a powerfull bassline. The other one, is too slow and has too much "guitar's riff". I still think that sometimes Rob's influence on Jamiroquai's music makes it sound more like rock than funk (and that's what I want to hear)
So, I'd like to know your opinion about this
Love, peace and Jamiroquai music for everyone _________________ Call me up, turn me on, tune me in... |

I'm not sure it's rob influence, I remember he said once that Jay made hum play too much rock when he always wanted to play funk
Anyway, I like much more the original version, I think it's one of the best tracks on the album |

I like the original version better, but when you see the acoustic one as a seperate song, I like that one too! I like how Jay is playing with the lyrics in the acoustic version.
And yes, Jay wants Rob to play like that. Rob told me several times!!
You can notice Rob's preferences when he is performing without Jay's influence... he is way more funky then!
Anyways, I wouldn't call it "Rock" what we hear in the new album. It is maybe a more rough funk at some points, but real Rock is something different for me. Funk can have different directions, and I think it is still Funk in the acoustic version. |

Yes, when I said "Rob's influence" I didn't mean HE openly decided to play like that. It's all under Jay's supervision _________________ Call me up, turn me on, tune me in... |

I think we have to do this again
All Good In The Hood (album version) vs All Good In The Hood (acoustic version) vs All Good In The Hood (extended version)
I definately go for extended version
I love the ending jams...
