I've actually never been to a indoor-Jamiroquai concert, so I have no clue how early I should be there to get a place at the front.
The ticket says the concert starts at 8pm, does that mean the doors only open at that time?
Or is it waiting for hours and hours and then a big mass-run to the stage? |

On my ticket (Hamburg gig) it said: Doors will open at 6pm.
I was there at 5.15pm and there were only a few people there, I guess around 20. I have asked some, a handfull of people have been there since 4pm and 2 crazy guys at 12!!! Haha, but that is way too early. 5pm was a good time to arrive. I made it front row, just in the middle, in front of Jay's microphone, in the end.
The soundcheck was a bit later, so they opend the doors not before 7pm. Then I WANTED to run to the front, to save my place, but the staff tried hard to keep the people walking slowly.
The gig started at 9pm.
Then again, I am not sure if I'll make the front row again next gig, because the sound is not good there. The atmosphere was great though!!
Those are my personal experiences... Wishing you lots of fun!!

I have never done a JMQ gig in Belgium. In Bercy I arrived when the doors had already been opened for 15-30 minutes and if I had wanted I could have gotten to row 10 or so. I am still not completely sure what time I / we will arrive. _________________ *Meow* |

Doors usually open around 6 indeed...
You should expect the opening act to start playing at some point between 7.30 and 8.15, and the Jamiroquai gig around 8.45 / 9.00.
For Paris the other day, I got there a bit before 2 PM and there were already 30 to 40 people waiting, I'd say. I guess it really depends on the shows, on how big the venue is (Paris is 18.000, Voorst is 8.000), if it is on a weekend and if the weather is nice!
I'd say being there by 2 PM will pretty much guarantees front row whatever the gig is... but there might already be some people in front of you or... you might wait alone for a good while! Impossible to know in advance! |

I have done serveral Forest National JMQ gigs and I can't remember seeing a support act...so this time is the first time (at least for me) that I'll see Penguin Prison, curious what's that like, but than again, mostely support acts are just not good. (remember HVM?)
I have also never noticed a queue at Vorst Nationaal, Belgian people are not so, let's say 'excited', except for Jay, Evy and me than!
Doors will be open at 18:30 hours. JMQ is planned to be on stage at 21:00 hours.
So I guess if you're there around 18:00 hours that will be fine. _________________ www.thisispeggy.com

2001 had Beverley Knight!
(didn't attend 2005 so I can't say and I have to admit I can't remember if there was an opening act in 1996, my first Jamiroquai gig ever!) |

Ahah you guys will think I'm crazy if I tell you that for Bercy, I arrived at 10Am! (And there was already 6 guys before me!)
But this time I'll come later.. as last year for the Suikerrock Festival in Belgium, people started to arrive between 7-8PM. _________________

You don't have to, Seb kept our place while we went to the hotel for the check-in, to buy food.. & fortunately, people were nice, they knew we were waiting since the morning.. so they let us come back before them in the queue! ;D _________________

same for Hyde park last year But the waiting time is like a litte party itself because you meet so many people you like and have time to talk to them |
