In between update Ahoy tonight
It's now almost 9am and I've just spoken to Ahoy. The roadies are there, packing out the material to build the stage but there is no news from the band or tourmanager yet. Ahoy hopes to get a confirmation or non-confirmation at 2pm. They are just waiting for news like the rest of us. In case of cancellation a new date will be arranged.

Hi Guys,
Offcourse I will be there too!
But I have to say that a half an hour ago Giel of 3Fm said, nothing is sure about the concert yet. There was no comfirmation about it and I still see a newsitem on the Telegraaf site that it's not sure what will happen.
Anyone heard a definate go?

Allthough..how would Jay feel after just one day in bed? Don't know if this is good for the show.

Dominik just told me that yesterday they were doing soundcheck and after that they decided to cancel. Anyway, if the show goes on, and he's not at his natural doing, I think we would all understand this and won't be fussing about it afterwoods. If they show goes on, we can be grateful.
After all, there's no business like show business!

Yes, that's indeed what happenend...very shortly some number and then after a little piece of Cosmic Girl and that's it.
I think it was just to check his reach and feel...
I still say hopefully it goes on, cause the day is not over yet and he might feel worse again who knows..
Am excited Ahoy says it will go on though, keeping the spirits high here!
If we are there and it will be cancelled later afterall, I´ll be so dissapointed, but hey, it´s nobody´s fault! Just wish him a speedy recovery |

I won't probably be front row, don't feel like beeing squeezed, although I could do with some being thinner

Yesterday nog gig for me in Oberhausen but the most other dutchies (i'm also dutch but Oberhausen is closer from home and no traffic jams) there is much hope.

HOT, wow it was so sweaty. Thanks to everyone who came to the Brussels gig for helping make such an amazing atmosphere.
For those who weren't there, it's quite a round venue which generally causes some problems with the sound but I think it was still a great gig.
We were very disappointed that our gig in Oberhausen didn't happen. We got as far as sound checking in case Jay started to feel better but unfortunately he was still being sick.
Apparently we are trying to re-schedule the date and so hopefully everyone can make the new date. It was a big shame and so sorry to the fans that were going.
Rotterdam tonight........ The Ahoy. Let's hope we have it bouncing, I can't wait.

It's a go, the site of the promotor www.livenation.nl says:
Het Jamiroquai concert gaat vanavond gewoon door. Gisteren werd bekend dat zanger Jay Kay door griep zijn concert in Oberhausen niet kon geven. Inmiddels is de zanger in ons land en is er vanochtend vroeg begonnen met de opbouw van het podium en de gehele productie.
Wij hebben van het Jamiroquai team gehoord dat het optreden vanavond doorgaat.
Update 15:10u
Het laatste nieuws van het Jamiroquai front is dat het concert definitief door zal gaan. Hierna zullen dus geen updates meer op deze site verschijnen.
It says that there will be no updates on the site and the concert is definately a go.
