Awesome adventure...I was at the very similar gig in Milan but, you know, there's nothin like enjoying the gig with the Jamily, and London is the place to be...

Amazing accounts of what sounds like an incredible concert.I'm only a little bit jealous.Glad you all had a great time anyway.I did get to see them in Zurich and Hyde Park and Nyon.So there.Hope to meet up with some of you next time.Just found a good review as I zap the Sunday papers.www.guardian.co.uk/music/popandrock

Evening!
After the HMV Forum gig I made a very grandoise statement that I was hanging up my dancing shoes and felt it was my last gig. I walked away from that gig feeling like I'd spent a hell of a lot of money and was it worth it?
A few months back our wonderful Little H tried to tempt me with a ticket for the O2. I was supposed to respond and fax my ID to the ticket agency - I missed the deadline and lost the ticket. (Check if you got a refund Heath!). I wasn't too bothered - afterall hadn't I said I wasn't going again?
In the past month I'd gradually changed my mind - and also encouraged Ezbe to change hers (she had felt along similar lines to me). I only bought tickets for myself, Ez and Jo 6 days before the gig...cutting it fine.
Am I glad I returned to the fold? OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday night at the O2 reminded me why Jamiroquai's music brings passion to my soul and how lovely and original the Jamily are.
From Friday lunchtime to Sunday teatime I shared wonderful experiences with the people who share my passion and I hold dearest in my heart (gushing? Oh yes...there's so much love going on!).
I laughed more than I've done in months, I danced more than I've done in months and I've been myself for the first time in months - it's a wonderful feeling.
Best moments:

Canned Heat - absolutely superb
Travelling - the music, the planet/road thing - totally, totally wonderful. Who needs drugs with that music and that visual?!
Jamily:
Ezbe and her wonderful sarcasm.
Peggy's display of Belgium singing/dancing (vid to follow)
Heather - for just being Heather! From beginning to end you made me smile.
Russ - your suitcase re-arranging timing was impeccable! Did anyone actually kick you? "russ....russssss...RUSSSSSSSSSSS". Good work and glad you completed your mission!
Fra de Fra - the pied piper of the Jamily. If there was one person who could get us into a party it was Fra! Good endeavour - and absolutely hilarious
Gianluca - always so passionate and always a delight to be with
Jonas - Group Hug!!!! Jeez, at the moment of seeing you, I also see Fra...who do I hug first? Oh what the heck - let's all hug!!!
Rinaldo - the two option, Risky man! You were scaring poor Jonas!

Best jamiroquai performance since The Scala for me. Great to have that feeling in such a large venue and feel part of the music.
Best Jamily feeling for a long time - we were as tight as the band! I think it's very telling that we had one ticket for Brit Funk - but NO-ONE would take it and see Incognito's performance. That's what the Jamily ethos is all about - being together .
and a little anecdote:
I work for the NHS - the area I work for (PCT) will be disolved and will not be in its current format by 2013; so many of us will no longer have jobs. We had a team "timeout" session this morning. Lots of moral boosting stuff going on and such like.
My director did a summing up at the end - bit like a Churchill speech - none of us know where we will be or what will happen - her words "things are a little fuzzy right now"....
I interjected with..."If I may throw in a Jamiroquai line....The future may be fuzzy but it's bright"...how's that for a bit of positivity!

You forgot the third option ... which actually was the scariest SWIM thru the Thames to reach the hotel at the other side of the river

I think you're talking about Lucy Silvas... We'll hear about her soon, as she's working with Jamiroquai bandmembers on her new album, & recording in a famous studio in Buckinghamshire...

I attended the O2 on Friday last with the good lady and the atmosphere was electric. The music was loud and bassy, exactly how it should be in a big arena concert. I'm not a fan of Deeper Underground but the bass during this was phenomenal and I couldn't help but move. The bass was actually making my knees vibrate 
Again, a bit disappointed that none of the EOPE album got played especially the latest live version of When you gonna Learn (see Paleo concert) which is the best version they've ever done. But the classics, Space Cowboy and Travelling Without Moving were just quality. A personal favourite of mine however was played, You, give me Something and what a superb live version. The difference here was the addition of the brass. The solo at the end was out of this world and I was grooving like it was 1993 again!
I was too busy dancing to take too much video, but Mrs nightwaxon did a little clip from Travelling Without Moving where JK got a some frillies chucked at him!

This was my first ever Jamiroquai concert since becoming a fan in 2006 and what a way to start! Absolutely phenomenal. To think I actually got to share a room with Jay Kay and the band will never leave me.

Welcome Starchildluke! A first gig is indeed very special. I remember going home completely Jamiroquaid and it is only getting 'worse'.
