I´ve listened the concert, and I can say it was an amazing set of funky and groovy tunes. TWM and LF still make me get surprised, as the first day.
Any posibilitie to get the audio in wav/flac format? _________________

What can I say about Friday night. Everything that is said about it,
nobody else can experience it. Legendary falls short to describe that
moment, those glorious 120 minutes, even glorious sounds incorrect for describing those two hours where my life was confined to my little spot there among the crowd. I was sorrounded by fans, and not fans, people dancing, people singing, I dont even remember their faces, i was in another dimension, in a very subtle diferent reality. Jay and the band delivered an awesome performance, they gave us great versions of old songs, and a couple of new (yes I was wating for "all good in the hood" or "Hey Floyd" but who can complain?). Jay is an increidible performer, he dances, he sings spot on (and he really sings not like other performers), and he makes me dance as I never dance. Careless, totally oblivious of the people surrounding me and, in some point, I feel that he is singing to me. So, was he out of pitch in WKR?? yeah he might have been, but I beleive that he was so amazed of the love and heart that his people gave to him, that I think for the first time in his carreer ( and I dont think that this is exaggerated) he was astonished. We took his breath away. I mean, guys you are all fans like me, you saw thousands of Jamiroquai gigs, all over the world, have you ever seen Jay, come down from the stage and connect with his fans the way he did??. Maybe I am wrong, but i think this crowd touched his soul a little bit.
Now what about the guys??, as always they are a perfect mechanism, they all gave an incredible, out of this world performance. Rob face-melting solos, Sola with his hands on fire, Derrick proving that he actually is "Indestructible", Matt giving that perfect keyboards, the girls giving spice to the songs, and the horns, my God the horns, what would it be of this band without them. Definetly not the same sound. And no, I am not forgetting about Paul. Paul Turner gave THE performance, he has a groove, so unique, so perfect, that he allready won an important place in Jamiroquai history. Did you listen to "Space Cowboy", that snaping in TWM?? (definetly the high point of the night) , the new "Little L"?, the bridge between "Little L" and "Canned Heat"? the fabulous, bodyshaking, hypnotising "Main Vein"? (I always loved that track) I thought his fingers were going to fall after that. Thanks Paul, just thanks.
Of course people, notice that this is an utterly subjective point of view of what happened on friday night, any similarity to reality is plain and simple coincidence.... |
AMEN TO THIS!
I can feel your emotion men
Jamiroquai now and for ever! _________________ Got my soul education! |

Wooha, that's awesome but I am thankful I am not in the middle of that!
Or like Sandra accurately said: friendly Jamiroquai hooligans
I noticed that the crowd was very young, much younger than at European gigs. |

is this download better in any way than Dyego's one? (analog radio) |
Thank you very much to all the contributors in this thread, finally a great recording for this amazing tour
I'm rushing too to have the best source, Dyego's version is my best bet at the moment, have someone tried this one? _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |
