I especially love the part at 3:40 where the horn section has a little solo.
(I reposted High Times at this show because the above post was a shortened version of the gig)

If I would introduce Jamiroquai to someone I would use exactly that part Smile

They did that little solo at the Jazz Café in 2006 too! Smile (4:27)

Unfortunately at the beginning he was struggling a bit... Confused

If he isn't miming (really not sure, its harder to tell with the lip sync off on the vid) this is easily Jay's best vocal performance ever!

Anyone know if this is actually live or not?

Ha I realised pretty soon after posting... pity though, in my opinion theres not a REALLY perfect version of the song available.

Sure there are some great performances around but vocally I don't think I've seen a perfect rendition. 97 is when Jay's voice started changing, VI was released in 96 and was probably the last song recorded with his purest of voice. You can notice his vocals change slightly between VI and CG on the album.

Shame.

Edit: Theres actually a performance of the song on Top of The Pops in 96 if memory serves me right where he sounds spot on, however the version is very short and none of the other band members are playing live.

yap, Ithink the same.

there are few performances well recorded from 96 and I think these are the best performances of TWM album, regarding Jay's voice, of course.

In youtube you'll surely find audio recordings to check
