Good news. Another record.

Hopefully they don't fuck it up this time.

You mean 'Universal Music' don't fuck it up with tepid, ill conceived, misinformative promotions of the new jami album...surely Brother Bob? I wonder if Jamiroquai would go as far as making this new album a 'free download'..initially that is, like Radiohead did, make it an exclusive download for members of JamiroTalk, then later on release it legit...J can afford it. Cheers!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

no Jami brother, he means that he hopes that Jamiroquai doesn't fuck it up. Mr. Smellbob has a vile hatred for the RDLS album as you can read in 90% of his posts. Some people have strong opinions and others feel like they need to blast their's out and ruin everyone's day Rolling Eyes

The problem is not the opinion in itself. The problem is when people state opinions as facts.

well each to his opinion.

I wouldn't expect a free download from Jamiroquai!
I want them to make money from their efforts and I will pay for new music!
And I will love the new music.

My opinion is that they will either make a new cd with 5-6 songs, or a full cd with some previous songs. Because a full new album would take minimum 1-2 years and I believe this one will be out in 6 months.

I expect at least 10-12 new songs on the 2013 effort, with the expected 1-2 Japanese/Online Exclusive bonus tracks, if Universal Music makes the proper effort of promoting it properly and 'directly' (Yeah, you heard me, none of this 'lollygaggling delayed U.S. release a year/to two years out from original nonsense.). In regards to 'opinions', yeah, the internet really has a nasty way of inflaming everyone's opinion, either for the good/bad, including yours truly. Cheers!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

100% agree with you .

I hope that the new stuff will be released on 2013.

Whatever they could do, I will be glad because it's...simply Jamiroquai !
I will never forget the 18 years of happiness they bring to my mind and heart. It reminds me those lines from Stillness in Time :
"Anything you give me today, I will be thankful for"

Thank you Mr Jay Kay and ALL the boys and girls (past and present) from Jamiroquai. The band that I've been chosing to be the soundtrack of my life.

You're so right John, it's simply jamiroquai, wise words. And in my case are now around 7 years of happiness and incredible music that they gave me.
Very Happy

From a very logic point of view, they might release a new album next year, but I won't expect anything before the third or fourth quarter.

Also I think the album will have some work from RDLS and some new material.

buffaloman_R Hello again, buffaloman_R

Wink Hope all my fellow American fans had a nice Thanksgiving weekend, I know my waistline was content during this time..DAMN YOU GRILLED-CHICKEN STOVE TOP STUFFING..hehe Wink . Anyway, I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if Jamiroquai got more 'topical' in their new album writing cycle? I could imagine they could churn out a 'Just Another Storylike' opus pertaining to the recurring 'economic downturn' in Europe/The World, rife with clear explanations of the 'common sense' deprived moments of the crisis that arised and how to alleviate it instantly, sample lyrics:

"We are all for the charity/But you can't austerity/Your country's borrowed money out of infinity"

Jamiroquai have tiptoed through topical items in the past, but I would really like to see them do some more 'preaching' on this and the other's world's problems, one lyrical cog that has been sorely missing from Jamiroquai for a while now. Anyway, cheers!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

While I like this idea in theory, it can only work if Jay really feels that way about something. You can't force someone to sound sincere about something that doesn't hit home with them. That's why When You Gonna Learn was so powerful, Jay and the guys really felt strongly about the world's problems (that's what happens when you are young and ideological)
