First of all I said association (hence soccer) football.
Second, in our eyes here, we consider Mexico to be in Middle America. Very Happy

I am pretty sure everyone knows we call it that but I always found it silly because football is appropriate rather than being named soccer. And our version of 'football' is more catching/ holding a ball than using feet to move ball around ( then again it does require a lot of footwork Laughing )

You are right that Mexico is consider part of central America and Latin America, however it is also technically part of the north and there are about 20 countries, including Mexico and the states that makes up this continent.

It's true, Mexico belongs geographically to North America, just as there is in fact no real European or Asian continent, but an Eurasian one.

you know what else is true- Football/soccer/whatever you call it and jazz, funk, soul etc came out of the Americas. In which Mexico is considered as part of the northern hemisphere more than as a line on the map. There are a lot of Mexicans in the US ( though less the more towards the border of Canada) and as far as recent times there is more Mexican cultural influence in the US I think than European. source- parents spoke Spanish and lived in Mexico, central, and South America as well as the US... I think perhaps it takes a visit to the USA to find out.
