During the performance of "Our Time is Coming", J quotes a James Brown song titled "Funky Side of Town" ("Get on the good foot" double LP, 1972). It's the "Long-haired hippie and the afro Black come together across the tracks, and party all night long" line in question. During the half-hour Paradiso jam, Brown's "Mind Power" ("The Payback" double LP, 1973) track is also quoted. It wouldn't come as a surprise that J owns a third JB double album: "Hell" (1974)

And he also said this: "We're gonna use what we've got, to get what we want"

I think that this is a part of a song, but I cannot remember what song.

A late reaction, but I heard that sentence in James Browns' "Hot Pants".
But he sings: "You've got to use what you got, to get what you want".

And to continue with another James Brown-influence : in the 1993 live version of Space Clav, DJ D-Zire scratches "Clap your hands, stomp your feet!".
This is a sample from James Browns' "Give it Up or Turn it a Loose".
