Google translate actually does a pretty decent job, though someone who speaks turkish would necessarily be more precise and reliable !

Cheers !

Hi, I am here to help but guess I am late. I am sorry. Thats a festival for 2 days. You can camp there for 1 or 2 days bringing your tent Very Happy I will be there tomorrow. As you see, for 1 days it's 90 turkish lira which is around 35 euro . You can stay there from 10. am to 3 am other day and see all those singers and bands and you wanna be just behind the stage for Jamiroquai concert you must pay another 50 turkish lira ( 20 euro).
That fest. is being held each year. I wish I had been on time but sorry. It may help for the next year If you visit Turkey too Smile

Setlist anyone?

According to some videos posted after the gig, they played "Deeper Underground", "High Times", "Little L"...

I agree. Except WKR, why they didn't play tracks from Rock Dust like All Good In The Hood, Fast Persuader, Two Completly Different things or Hang It Over ?

yes but some great songs are being played.
This isn't the RDLS tour, and TWM was their biggest seller, wasn't it?
So maybe for the areas they don't tour often, it is a good choice.

I was happy to hear whatever tune they decided to perform.
Very Happy

I can get behind the idea that perhaps they play these in areas they don't often visit. However it's looked on as a bit...unimaginative...when they repeat the same setlist for areas they visit often.

I'm sure the fans in those less visited areas also look at the video footage of their concerts and notice the same set of songs over and over...so it just makes me wonder why the decision to not work on a new setlist to freshen up the interest in the band, overall.

The only notion I can back is that when you're there in person, the songs don't matter. Looking out from the sidelines is different than actually experiencing the show up front.

Jamiroquai looks rather uninspiring lately...

Band has become a "money-machine" to pay the bills - kinda said compared to what they could still achieve if Jay was interested in anything other than just making the money for his car investments...

This "interview" describes how dull the situation is... On the one hand I perfectly understand Jay hating to answer stupid questions like this but not even giving the chance to publicity speaking with him (refusing face2face interviews) is just a further nail in the band's coffin...

Well if I could see my favorite artists today, (say Prince) I would want to hear the best stuff, not just his new stuff. Laughing And whatever he chooses to play would be what I would want to hear. And Jay Kay and Jamiroquai have achieved that music level and are still relevant today. I saw Chaka Khan this year and loved the show! (even if Prince & Chaka are years before Jamiroquai)

I can't wait for new music from Jamiroquai. But they have such a catalogue it's okay if they decide to tour to obscure places and play their original and high sales music! The Rock Dust Light Star tour is over so they can tour playing whatever they want. They're not on their 2nd or 3rd album. They can ride the wave.
I'm just still sad they haven't been back to North America.

As for the interview, the first 2 questions seems a bit antagonistic. The rest was normal, but "Are you Happy?" is a loaded question!!

Edit

And I'm not angry! or yelling! or even disagreeing.
I just feel there is nothing wrong with slowing down, or pulling out the classics, as long as they keep going.
Very Happy
