Stuart: "why does all the music sound like some shite J-pop nightmare??? HEEEEEELP!"

What The Funk??? Shocked
Fuuuuuu! I can't believe that Stu is saying that about J-Pop!!!! (really he said that? regret), he really was my hero 2worried

about jay's new songs, i feel some ***** like J-pop.
so, i thought Stu felt the same about recent jay....hahaha sorry!

Well I have to disagree in this point. I like, well, I love J-Pop and really disagree (It hurts) then I won't heed. Crying or Very sad
Sorry I'm shocked...2worried

The new songs are not bad, they need that we give them a chance, also is not surprise that the band is changing their style, but come on, the new album will be great... Wink
The rehearsals are so awesome, we really appreciate them (specially the one of Music Of The Mind Smile ) and I think that Jamiroquai can still doing it like before (the performance an Paleo was so great, it made me think that they can still doing music like in the good'ol days). I hope that Jay hear the hints of Nick and Stu (sigh) and make that all go like starting over (there are good old songs that they can take and fix, by the way, I hope Jay some day release a song he made before "WYGL?" and that I heard was named "Natural Energy" or something, or write songs like in the early days I know they can) 2optimist

1) Yes some are good (just some) but most are just like Stuart said.."J-Pop Shite"

2) THEY ARE INDEED! Go look up for Brent's new post, courtesy of Nick van Gelder...AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stu Zender was 19!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! genius

if you add the rehearsals and the handful of good songs from the new album, we can have a decent 7-8 songs new album don't you think?

3) Yes as always, live are amazing, Jason said once (or many times) that he always wanted a live band, that's what he wanted all along, so that means he's pure talent and free at live performances, the guys (regadless of the bandmembers) have always delivered live, they are the best live act ever.

4) No he can't, because as somebody very wisely said, the ones writing those old songs were Jason, Toby, Stuart and Derrick... now most are gone, and Jason and Derrick at a different point in their lives (from those days) I don't think they can do it at a 100%, but their new funk is good too.

1) Chale que mal plan...eso dolio. 2worried

3) Agree. There are lots of songs that were born in live performances and included later in singles or albums, like Manifest Destiny (born as Let Me Believe) or Slippin' And Sliddin (born as Mr. Boogie) or others that were only performed live and get the attention of the fans (for example Shoot The Moon).

4) Agree too, Toby, Stu (sigh) and Wallis were so important and agree Jay, Sola and Derrick are different from those days but I repeat, they can take old ideas (from example those songs in the rehearsals) and improve it if necessary.

Just heard one of the songs from these tapes. It is f-----n avesome! It is better than I imagined!

So why all this delay? The tapes are old and would not work when trying to play them. But since I am helping Stu with his website I asked about the tapes and got few of them so I could try fix it. First they did not want to work. But I figured it out after some research and I am digitalizing them right now. It will be released soon. At the same time as the website... Which will be up soon!

How many times did Stuart tease stuff that he never made available?
I wouldn't hold my breath.

It is for real now. I have recorded four songs to my computer that I found on the tapes that Stuart gave me and it will be released when the new website is up, which I am helping Stuart with too.
