it's not really news but last night on Family Guy, they had a new episode and did a spoof on Virtual Insanity video (which is such a coincidence since it happened 20 years ago).

I don´t think that there will be an album release in 2016. In recent weeks it has become quiet around Jamiroquai. No studio news on facebook or twitter. Perhaps it was a mistake to separate from Sony a few years ago.
Without the pressure of a record company there is no need to bring out a new album |

I don't know if Family Guy contacts the people they parody, because I know they have lots of guest stars and stuff who want to promote themselves, but I'm glad they did feature that in their episode.
GTA V which is the best selling video game of all time, put Alright on their soundtrack. In which the Vevo video got tons more views and new fans because of that.
Like I said earlier, they need to promote themselves before the album comes out, or come out with a single and promote that or else the album won't sell or peak as well.
And someone also said RDLS was a bad album and I have to agree. I am one of the few who didn't care for it with the exception of a couple tracks, even the tracks I liked I normally wouldn't like on a better album.

@smellbob -yes my son plays GTA and told me the Jami song was on it!
@taktfoll -it sounds like the band believes the album will be out this year. But when making an album, the date of release isn't really known early on. So it's hit or miss, maybe 2016, maybe 2017. At least there is an album in the works! or maybe they love stringing us along!

@ Honeybee: You´re right. Only the fact that a new album will appear is already sensational news. Sometimes it's hard to keep patience. Jamiroquai has always left time with the production of a new album. And that´s the reason why the albums are indeed become so wonderful.it has no other choice than to wait |
