What a strange video!! And it get even more if you take into account the fact that Matt shared on his facebook page, like if he actually want people to listen to that 1 second song.
By the way, great job Dye! |
First off, great investigative work Dyego. Secondly, this Instagram account, that this video was uploaded on is BRAND NEW and has the simple 'channel description' of "Matt Johnson". Could Matt be giving us small acetate audio glimpses of new Jamiroquai or merely more unreleased solo material? Man...I hope it new Jami! Till then, BRING US MORE SNIPPETS MR. JOHNSON!!! PLEASE! _________________

Matt Johnson "I could play the whole video but then I'd have to kill you".
Also, the Jamiroquai.com website is offline. |

Ohhh man, like what happened with the official Jamiroquai site between the SYN/AFO albums when they did that futuristic funky update of old official Jamiroquai.co.uk site (Here's a video of that version of the Ol' Jami Official Site during that AFO album cycle https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKHKgQJ1UOo ) ! As for the Matt comment, yup, it's gotta be new Jamiroquai material, no doubt about it! Thanks again for the sharp eyes Brother Dyego! Cheers! _________________

I did some looking online, on downtime checking sites for websites, and it appears both the Official Jamiroquai site and it's connected forum are OFFLINE completely for EVERYBODY! Also if you pay close attention to that vinyl record in the Matt Johnson Instagram video, it is indeed a 'one track' pressing, the groove reflections in the light on it pretty much looks like a 'single track test pressing' of some new Jami song! Oh man, let's hope the new Official Jamiroquai Site goes live soon with a newly remodeled Jamiroquai 'chat post forum' & a simple 'holding screen' of new Jami album/single art till the full launch! EXCITING TIMES ARE HERE AGAIN! _________________

Wew. Sure hope so. It would be sweet to get a 5.1 mix or some kind of hi-res mix for release also. |

strongly believe the website being down proves how out of touch the band is with their website. websites are the old way to communicate with fans anyway so nothing negative but i do believe this has nothing to do with the new album.
reasons.
1. the website is inaccessible and has been for over a week. plus websites that you can use to try and find hidden files show the website is inaccessible too. reasons why no access?
https://www.siteground.com/kb/common_reasons_for_a_site_to_be_inaccessible/
2. try it for yourself
https://pentest-tools.com/website-vulnerability-scanning/discover-hidden-directories-and-files
3. i do remember before the release of synkronized or funk odyssey, cant remember, that you could find the hidden file. i found it by luck by trying different names after jamiroquai.co.uk/***** and it worked.
4 this has never happened with any other albums and i have never seen this occur with any band either. |

I think the official site was taken down for a 'new album remodel' by whatever record label signed (Sony Or Universal at this point). I tweeted David Rowe asking if he knew more from his contacts pertaining to the Official Jamiroquai Website being offline, but he didn't know anything and assumes, much like I said, to expect a modest 'holding screen' for the new Official Jami Site to be put up sometime soon. As for the recurring argument that the band is continuing to be 'out of touch' with the fans, I don't subscribe this, it ventures all of our thoughts/opinions into the 'negative' when pondering it. The bandmembers, to their benefit have stayed in touch with fans on social media to the best of their ability while balancing their solo projects to fill that layover time. Record deals and the work that comes thereafter aren't always perfect, and in the case of Jamiroquai's new deal, all the problems are on the 'record label end', not the band. I'm just saying let's all be patient and see what happens rather letting our 'opinionated tendencies' come out online, but granted you can't alway influence other's online behaviors. Cheers! _________________

well a website is owned by a domain owner. Who owned it? Sony?
or Jamiroquai?
a website is just a way to inform or promote. or a place to drop off your music |

I think it was owned by JK's music publishing company, "Jamiroquai Limited", if I remember correctly. _________________

The website is actually owned by Jamiroquai Limited and it files was last updated on June 17th.
I could be wrong but I definitely think it's some update to the website, because back in 2012 or 2013 don't remember exactly, Derrick posted a message about the start of the recordings for the new album and some brand new site, I guess it's coming after all.

BIG BIG UPDATE!!!
According to fellow Jamiroquai Fan Andrea Lania, from Facebook, Jamiroquai is noted to be a new signed artist with XL Recordings , an British independent record label!!!! Here is a screen capture of the 'XLRecording' page noting it on the Wikipedia website noting this:

Odd choice but still a solid record label with a strong promotions past of new albums/artists!!! I have since tweeted the XLRecordings Twitter account for a confirmation, I will report back when they send me a reply tweet! WOO HOO!!! _________________
