You could be right. Maybe the track Automaton is like a Virtual Insanity II of sorts! In that track, he sang about how technology as a whole is becoming scarily advanced to the point where humans can basically play God now.
But who knows? Maybe Automaton will not be entirely electro/techno sounding. It might actually have a bridge or climax where it totally switches things up into a natural-sounding studio & real instruments sound. Kinda like how Loveblind switches up the track from the album Dynamite. The band has done this before on various tracks. Or hey, maybe it'll be another Electric Mistress or Stop Don't Panic lol. _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. 'Cause if I like it, I do it. |

Hey, anyone can do music with traditional instrumments too, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be good just because is traditional/ acoustic or whatever. Same goes for electronic.
But I trust the band! They proved they can do great music mixing both things. And I remember that I didn't really care about Twenty Zero One but then I saw it live and the song totally changed to me. Magic happens... _________________

Same. I used to dislike Twenty Zero One and would always skip it. Then I watched the performance of it on the Live in Verona DVD and I fell in love with the track for some reason. It puts me in a trance of sorts and I just sit there picturing Jay sliding and dancing about on a rain-soaked stage. _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. I'm really disappointed this is techno music where's the funk soul of jay?
it is clearly a commercial track
I don't want another EOPE or ROTSC but I miss their acid jazz vibe, latin vibe , soul vibe
 |
Sight.. the same story all over again, with every álbum release for the fuckin' last SEVENTEEN YEARS!
Guys, seriously, stop crying!
Jamiroquai won't release another EOPE again, wake up, if you want to listen to some jazz there are plenty of herbie hancock albums to catch up to.
It's been like this for ages now, and I'm glad Jamiroquai explores new musical styles with every album, because I need to listen to something new. |

Javis if you are glad of this commercial music, you can also respect a fan who would like to hear something new but still with their unique vibe.
They not impress me anymore , just my point of view .
It's not about jazz , i don't want to hear herbie hancock . How can you associate Herbie to Jamiroquai?
Jay changes the styles from Eope to Synkronized and i absolute love all the tracks. I really can't hear more than one time songs like Feels Just Like it Should or White Knucle Ride. |

Oh come on. Calling an album "commercial" just because you don't like it is already old. And if you stop to think about it, most of the music we all like is commercial, all artists make music to sell.
And that doesn't make it bad. It might not be your cup of tea, but Daft Punk have been making advances in electronic music and took it to a next level with their latest albums, calling their art "commercial" is at least disrespectful.
You just have listened a little snippet and are already complaining about it. It happened with all the latest album, twenty zero one, feel just like it should, white knuckle ride, and none of these tracks defined the overall style of the album they were on. Even Virtual Insanity was a departure from their classic sound, and that didn't make it bad!
I'm just saying, instead of being happy because a new album is coming on, you are complaining on a little snippet, and that happened so many times already in this forum, at least I'm tired of reading these negative comments |

Yeah, the little snippet of that new track... pretty weird. Most of it sounds fine to me, but when they cut over to the vocals, it sounds like a very odd transition, strange chords. A bit uneven, like the slow section of Black Devil Car that comes out of left field.
Of course it is a tiny piece of the album. I'm sure there will be some gems. Even when the album as a whole let me down a little (like Dynamite and RDLS), there were some great tracks (Dynamite, SDISJ, Starchild, GHAC, Time Won't Wait... and then Two Completely Different Things, Smile, Hey Floyd, Angeline, Hang it Over).
But it still strikes me as weird that this is the bit they give us to get us excited, and it does make you wonder what they've got in store. Even so, there's nothing like listening to a new Jamiroquai album for the first time. I can't wait to get my hands on it. |

I don't think the actual track will go this way, I bet it was cut that way for the teaser. In most of it the music was instrumental, but Jay's voice is absolutely necessary as part of the Jamiroquai brand so they squeezed it in at the end to excite the listener. That said, it would be a great exercise for Jay to not use the words "love" or "baby" in a song, haha. Getting a little repetitive, but I digress. |

So we are obvi going to get the single before the tentative end of March release for the whole album. Anyone have an educated guess as to when we might hear the entire single? Hopefully it's not an entire month... |

Since this is TRANSMISSION 001, I wonder when we will get TRANSMISSION 002 and so forth? I'm assuming there might only be 2 of them since we only know of two music videos that have been created so far. Although...TRANSMISSION 002 could possibly be a continuation of this first one, just a different snippet of the song and video. That would be cool too! _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. 'Cause if I like it, I do it. |
