Funk and disco music always had a strong connection to sci-fi in general.
Its not a coincidence disco music and sci-fi movies became popular during the same time period:)
Earth Wind And Fire, Parliament, Marvin Gaye etc. all referenced allot to "outer space"  |
SO, i was destined to like funk music, because besides cars and all the racing things, i have been always a fan of sci-fi and i like to read about universe and all those things

We should assume if any 'audio recordings' of the Jo Whiley show tomorrow night are done, those should be shared via 'PM' only? Or are we relaxing that policy from prior instances of 'radio rips' sharing on JamiroTalk? I'm enforcing 'PM sharing' only on the r/Jamiroquai Subreddit..thoughts?

How about Back To The Future, Mr. az? That's the most perfect combination of sci-fi and car? I only ask cos I've read your posts before and I know you love cars as much as I do. Also, it's my most favorite movie of all time, to the point that I had a DeLorean for awhile.

Yes, that's one of my favorite movies and cars togheter, i wish more movies made today have all that related, nice car, nice history, and the fact is about sci-fi

The single just landed on Spotify in Australia. Has a very supersonic / twenty zero one feel, but really heavy on the edm vibe. Like it though!
It's very different but somehow familiar. Verse is very electronic (bleep bloop, R2D2 would be proud) but chorus has a good feel. Lyrics seem to be commentary on digital age, we're all faceless now.
...I put my faith in a digital age, but now I'm eyes without a face...

Oh I love technology (and time zones!) It's on iTunes as well. Just change your country to Australia and there's a much longer sample to listen to or you can purchase it. |
