I'm loving the song. I didn't expect it, but I can say it was a very nice surprise.
Best single since AFO? |

Yes, because RDLS was a no sense promotion, with videos and things just releasing with no time or official info, just appear...
Im sure they learn from that time. _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

I think they've done good with this song. It's different to most of the other stuff out there. But it works. Compared to most of what I hear on mainstream radio (which is I guess what sells records) this is different. But in a good way. |

It's COMPLETELY different, the last time pop music even got CLOSE to this new musical experimentation embrace was Daft Punk 'Random Access Memories' back in 2012. It is the most experimental track to date...lyrically fringing on a 'disconnected digital world' and musically as angst as someone who has lived their whole life vicariously through those technological reinventions. A daring song for our times... _________________

We are all old, this is the only place a millenial wont get in
SO jay is talking to us, i doubt new generations can dig the meaning of the song. _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

So happy to have new stuff to listen to after all these years, and so happy to hear Jay's voice again!!!
On first hearing I LOVED the chorus but wasn't really convinced about the rest. It's a different sound, yes, but I found it a bit strident.
It'll grow on me, I'm sure. And in any case I like that the band reinvents itself from time to time. |

Hate the chorus. Trite and too sweet. Love the rest.

I dont post very often. I just came here to write this: The song is horrible. OMG its so bad my ears cry blood. I hope that what we listened today is just a remix and not the official sample.

Right, we've got two months between now and the album release. How is the momentum going to keep up?
We've got a promo video for Automaton. Then another song/video (Cloud 9?).
Will this keep us going for two months?
PS. I just looked at Rock Dust Light Star. It was announced in August 2010, a tracklist revealed in mid September and the album came out at the start of November.
I guess we can wait. We've done it before. It just seems like there's been a lot of excitement over the past two weeks. Now what? |
