To me there's 3 kind of fans(apply to the rally dakar fans too )
1-the old school fans who don't want any change
2-the newcorners, still learning about the band sounds, etc
3-fans who know only a few songs, but they want to know more
wich kind of fan are you? |
i'm neither! i love all Jamiroquai styles. i've only been a fan since 2009 which in comparison to most of you guys is not very long but i was born in 2000 so i have an excuse lol i used to dislike the EOPE era and know nothing about the TROTSC era (whyyy??) but now i'm in love with both those eras, especially TROTSC, an underappreciated gem. but i also love love love AFO and even Dynamite! i even have a soft spot for RDLS as I remember getting it for Christmas when I was 10 and playing it in the car and being really happy to listen to new music from my newly favourite band. so i basically love all of Jamiroquai's content, pretty much.
sorry... that got long |
Very nice funkyleah! I fell in love with jamiroquai in 2007 and happened something very similar with RDSL, is one of my favourites _________________ Got my soul education! |

That's fine, and yes, i wish there's a good performance live of the song, and not a lypsinc _________________ Only a fool can walk away from me this time

Fixed the lyrics after listening to the song again and seeing some people's suggestions
In our love, every heart is beatin'.
I'm all love! Uh-can't you feel me feelin'?
Take my hand! I'm cold like a junkie.
I'm an ice-cold man.
I'm an ice-cold man. *distorted*
Why am I cryin' for you?
All this love I felt for you
Has gone away to another place. (It's a digital life)
I put my faith in a digital world
But they've given me eyes without a face.
I'd steal the moon on silver nights.
Remind myself I am someone.
My soul is null and void tonight. (I'm automaton)
I'm so tough. Uh-can't you see me runnin'?
See, I can touch. Can you feel me comin'?
I see the world and cry for freedom.
These metal eyes, they can't disguise
The fact that I need something to believe in.
But then I drug him for you!
I said goodbye to the world I knew
And took off into inner space. (It's a digital life)
Weren't you the ones who promised me
A very different place?
I've powered up, get my program set
And tilt my head toward the sun.
Inside I know, I'm null and void (I'm automaton)
Automaton (x4)
Hey, you got me down underground
Gettin' holed up in my cyber lounge
As if I had time to break that down. (Automaton)
Whatever you can do I can override it
Got a million ways to synthesize it.
Digital android, I can fight it (Fight it out)
Automaton (It's a digital life)
Automaton (Digital life)
Automaton (A digital life)
Automaton
Feel like a man who fell to Earth
Like this is not where I belong.
They rule my life from a metal box that's windowless
And I wonder where it all goes wrong.
Maybe this dream will stay alive
But can the madness be undone?
Am I the new intelligence?
I'm automaton (x7)
It's a digital life (x2)
You know I need something I can hold onto, hold onto (You were all I knew)
I need something I can hold onto, hold onto (This was all I knew) |

4 - The open-minded fan that accepts change, yet will criticize fairly. |
I'm a 5th kind of fan, as in, I'm open-minded and accept change, am interested in the new sounds, but secretly want the old line up to get back together! |

You're welcome, I had fun figuring out the lyrics and a lot of people here helped me out with a few of the words! _________________ If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. 'Cause if I like it, I do it. |

I'M AUTOMATON
I can't stop listening to Automaton! The first time I listened to it on BBC Radio 2 I did't exactly loved it, it reminded me of Feels just like it should from Dynamite which is not my favorite song, but I listened a couple more times and now, man I JUST LOVE IT! I don't know maybe it's the retro sounds from the beggining or the chorus or even the little rap part but I think it is a great song. |

Welcome!
Yeah, I think most of us went through the same process. The song has grown on me in a way FJLIS and BS/WKR didn't. |

That someone posted also "Jamiroquai automaton instrumental", and needless to say it has nothing to do with (the official) Automaton. _________________ "If it doesn’t sound good with just a keyboard and a voice or a guitar and a voice, drop it.” /Jay Kay/ |

It's all sounding pretty positive so far... The instruments people here have been asking for... The social message in Dr Buzz...
