As I can see, only the MP3 version of the single/album cover has changed. The physical cd/vinyl/special edition/etc versions still have the original one.
My best guess is that they changed it so when you play it on your iPod the name of the band is a bit bigger so you can read it. |
I like your thinking here. This could make sense. |

Just checked and it seems here in Australia we'll get it the normal date: 31st of March (which means if you can get a digital copy online when it's midnight here on the East Coast, that will be about 1pm on the 30th of March in the UK or 5am on the 30th if you're on the West Coast of the US)
If you can fool iTunes or whatever into thinking you're in New Zealand, you might be able to get it two hours earlier than that even! But just a warning - I've never done this before and it might be that you need a payment system that's compatible with the country of purchase, and I'm not sure how the digital rights stuff works (or doesn't work) when you change your country back. _________________

I just checked and Amazon vinyl release is scheduled for 24th March. This is odd, all the releases with a week of difference. |

The US releases are 'import' ones aren't they? Is that just a big box of UK releases shipped to the warehouse in the US for distribution a week later?
As for the vinyl, i'm guessing that's just a mistake. |

I know for a fact that the last two Jamiroquai album releases, "Dynamite" & "RDLS", were 'domestically' mass produced here in the states for sale. It's really up to where and how Virgin/EMI decided to produce the Automaton releases, they could be 'domestic importing' as you said David, it is noted on the new Jamiroquai Shop for the U.S. market that the releases will be 'shipped from England', so yeah, maybe importing. _________________

He does not use much of EQs so maybe the other tracks will have a more natural version of Jay's voice. It seems that mixing will be good on this album. |
well he mixed random access memories for daft punk so I think we are in the same ballpark with automaton: some electronics but overall preserving some natural and vintage vibes...I hope! _________________ Paul - Italy |

I agree. I've made some more extent research and he done many modern albums but always preserving the old vibes. It seems that the mixing will be well done. Just hope they don't mess up the mastering like they've made in a certain way with Automaton |

Just made my pre-order on Amazon for the album
Good to see so many fans again here posting again.
Im looking forward to the album, the single was surprising, needed some time to get to it. The video though is very good and the remix too. _________________
