I don't think that will be possible, at least not just yet, that bonus track is the only reason you would buy a much more expensive edition, and they will want to keep it that way |

the track
Vitamin has such a mysterious harmony, such an inspired melody, lightness, agility, tightness and the perfect mixture of party beat and puzzling and melancholic mood that all the best funk and disco tracks have always had. It wasn't produced to match the level of opulence of Starchild, Where Do We Go From Here?, Do It Like We Used to Do, Time Won’t Wait or the ending of Main Vein. On the other hand, precisely for being discrete, with some empty spaces, it's fresh, feline, serpentine, sheer smoke and mirrors, like the theme of a Broadway dancer dancing all by himself in the middle of a big city night. Apart from the hideous saxophone solo, this is the track that should have made into a model for the whole album, with boldness, mystery, originality and, of course, jazz. |

You just said the word - jazz. So what's amiss with the sax? Just like the piano, it's totally on it. If you want it less discordant, there's a sax line at the end of Dr Buzz, but that's not what they were doing with Vitamin.
As for saying the whole album should be on the Vitamin model - don't agree, look at each album; there's always a cool groove on each one that stands out precisely because it's different. Fast Persuader on the last one, Vitamin on this |

OMG I just listened to it and I gotta say I love it!
best tracks for me (in no particular order):
Shake it on
Automaton
Cloud 9
Vitamin
Something about you
Summer girl
Dr Buzz
Superfresh
Still I don´t know, maybe I´m the only one that think that RDLS is one of their best albums, well certanly one of my favourites xD because of the horns and the rocky and dark style.
This new album have a lot of funky bass
PD: we need a extended version of vitamin
Love it! now i'm gonna dance guys _________________ Got my soul education! |

No, I'm right there with you. I don't believe they've ever put out a bad album, I think people just lose interest and then like to review in the media and say 'a return to form'. It's just the whim of the listener really, imho |

Totally agree with you. I think it was a great album with bad production, bad publishing, and bad singles. |

I think Jay went on record saying that they wanted a Lo-Fi sound with RDLS. The mastering is suspect, in either case, but it's a solid jazzy/rock amalgamation. I much prefer it to the otherwise sterile and varnished sound of Dynamite.
Mastering on Automaton is killer and I love how featured bass is on most tracks. I am in the honeymoon period for this album, of course, but in finding it to be one of the band's best. I never thought that of Dynamite, for example. |
