gday fellow funksters.

while we all wait with sweating palms for the new jamiroquai album, i wonder if anyone else has been finding some old music (or genres) to listen to.

maybe listening to EOPE or TROTSC has gotten you a bit bored, so you sifted through your parents' records and found (and presumably heard) something you love.

i was talking to my dad about jamiroquai, and he showed me some fantastic old records (being the old disco raver he was/is):

he showed me old records from:

* Brothers Johnson (currently learning the bass lines from Stomp (on the bass, of course), and loving Ride O' Rocket)

* The Commodores (I LOVE BRICK HOUSE!!!!!!!)

* Mr. George Benson (Love x Love is my favourite song)

* U2 (Where the Streets Have No Name is fantastic)

* The Brand New Heavies (their albums are quantity over quality, but some of their stuff is alright for easy listening)

i went out and bought the cd versions of all the above artists' albums. fantastic.

i wonder if anyone else has found out some older/current bands which are their thing??

buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Well, given the constant of Jamiroquai delays of late, I have, like much of you, been concentrating my ears on other of my fav musical artists. Here's a small of the musical artists that are enriching my ears....temporary till the 6th coming of the Buffaloman rises up from the horizon:

- The Scissor Sisters: Self-titled Album
Glam Piano is back!!!!
Key Tracks: Take Your Mama, Filthy/Gorgeous

- The Hives: "Tyrannasaurus Hives"
The Beatles of Punk Return with a 2nd strong album!!!!!
Key Tracks: Walk Idiot Walk, B Is for Brutus & Antidote

- The Streets: "A Grand Don't Come For Free"
British Hip Hop is on the rise, AMAZING 2nd album from Mr. Skinner!!
Key Tracks: Not Addicted, Fit But Your Know It & Blinded By Light

- Dizzee Rascal: "Showtime"
Mercury Prize 2003 winner and British Busta Rhymes is Back!!!!
Key Tracks: Stand Up Tall, Dream & Respect Me

There you go, I have many more other artists I listen too, if you want to learn about them, read my old posts in the "Offtopic" section of Talk! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
