Well Jamirobruno, Jay said he were going to hear more guitars in the new album!! and remember Rob Harris is a very Rock guy... he's not like Simon Kats, who used to play funk!! but i can say Rob's doing a nice Job, and his performings on Shoot the Moon and Just Another Story of the Montreux were fantastic...

...If its not like Sohot The Moon i want "The Return Of The Acid Jazz"!!!...

I think that's impossible... you can't hear again Acid Jazz on Jamiroquai... that's one thing i can tell you... Crying or Very sad i really missed the original songs of Jamiroquai: Revolution, Emergency, Space Cowboy, Mr. Moon, Scam.... but now you can hear more Little L's, Love Foolosophy's, and Cannabliss's... the old sound of Jamiroquai is in the past... now computers are doing all the job... as while Derrick is just sitted there seeing how the engineers are doing his job... well, in AFO he only played in Black Crow... no no no sorry, he played in So good to feel real... but that's not the point... i think all the musicians has to play in all songs.. like the high times.... now Jay uses Derrick on Live performances... if you think i'm wrong, just tell me... give your opinions...

yes we will see the return of acid jazz. the kids nowdays do not hear "real" music which they can play along to on their bass/electric guitar/singalong to.

they MUST do acid jazz. it will sell. it will do fantastically. and it will make for some fantastic concerts.

I read somewhere that Derrick wasn't really hating the programming all that much, saying he had dealt with it in an earlier band.

I dunno about him, but if I was a good drummer and I was getting ditched for a machine, I'd be pretty angry.

Bring back the live stuff, guys.

Funk Education, I think they'll go back to their roots. The way the used to play music, we will never see again. Jamiroquai has made too much changes to do that. But I think they will try to reach a 'pure' sound on their new album. You can never ban the computers in this time, but rocky songs like Just Another Story and The Kids can be on the next album. I think the next album will be a mix between rocky songs i just mentioned, 'computer'songs like Twenty Zero One and Stop Don't Panic and songs like Little L, Love Foolosophy and Main Vein. I'm hoping (but thinking not) there'll be one or two (of course i hope more) songs like Stillness In Time, Revolution 1993, When You Gonna Learn on the album.

But there must be 8 songs of Acid Jazz, and maybe 2 or 3 of computerized songs... and we hope they'll go back to their roots..

Must be??...I'm hoping it, but if i'm honest, i think they will choose the 'commercial' way with catchy songs like Little L, Love Foolosophy, Canned Heat. More dance. The rock part will be new, so i think there isn't enough space for 8 acid jazz songs (be happy with 2! Wink).

Jay wants money! Most of musicians in the world want to sell! Jamiroquai listen to all musicfans in the world, not only to the die hard jamiroquai fans.

of course all the musicians wants to sell... but i can tell you that Jay is going to sell whatever... cos he is Jay Kay, only for that... so, in that case i think he has to play acid jazz on the new album...

No.....i don't think Jay wants money....no....I hope he's quite intelligent to understand he cannot "Humble" his music and compare it to an advertising spot....JMQ worked a lot to reach what it's now, so i think they'll make everything to mantain their status into the musical surrounding Rolling Eyes

hey FRA, you really think Jay wants no money??? ehehehe well he said he owe a lot of money... and i think he hav to pay... don't know but i think Jay's gonna play whatever Sony wants... if sony wants metal, rock, hard rock, so Jamiroquai's gonna play metal, rock... remember... Sony wanted only ten tracks for Synkronized, when Jay had 17... and finally on the album were only 10... Confused

I confirm that, I agree Arrow

Jay have more debts that earns, now he have to put up the money for the racing circuit he makes to build in his estate. And that's a weel-known fact that record firm lays down the law.
