So... last monday I came back from Sicily where I saw Jamiroquai live in action @ la plaja in Catania.. ..
I came very close to Jason... (although i have no proof , cameras where not allowed and the idiot did not take a disposable one ) it's funny though I travelled from Malta to Catania to go and watch J live and at the same time change from the usual weekend here in Malta... so I went alone there... but I had to get my ticket from a lovely Maltese girl there... Melita... as soon as I met her..
Being a jolly funny group like all Maltese are they where drinking Vodka/ Coke while queing and they offered me some. Then the coke finished.. I said let me go and buy some... on my back in the queue I could not find them ...so went down the queue again to try and locate them and I saw a van coming at me... it stopped in front of me and who was sitting infront... Jason Kay.. .. waved Hi and the italians upon seeing him went mad... the van went off & I went on to look for Melita and co. Then I found them with the help of my mobile...
The concert was just fabulous Jay performed songs like Little L, Cosmic Girl, Twenty Zero One, Love Pholosophy, Mein Vein (dedicated to the BAD Girls!!!), Virtual Insanity, Corner of the Earth, Travelling Without Moving (coming on stage with the usual Fewwawi Flag grrr @ Fewwawi lol ) Canned Heat , High Times , and a version of Virtual Insanity ending in Samba style .... Brasil Brasil!!!!!!
We really missed Supersonic!!! They didn't play it owww it was a sensation.. I am already looking forward for a next gig of his... l8r on this week as soon as I'll have pics at hand (from other daring ppl who got a disposable camera with them) I'll try and post them here...
In between songs Jay Kay got this duckling soft toy on stage and placed it on a front monitor and it was singing in italian, it seems he bought it from Belgium... he was running and dancing across the stage sometimes even climbing on the scaffolding...
The crowd was tremendous I could not stop dancing although I was totally destroyed having only slept 2 hrs in 2 days and walked through a lot of Catania in the morning... It felt a bit funny hearing the Italians trying to sing in English but the chorus was there...
cya 4 now... I hope i haven't missed anything...if so i'll add it 2morrow as 2nite i am meeting these bunch of ppl whom i met on this adventure....
btw it seems Mein Vein will be the next single... |

I just remembered something... just before singing High Times Jason said this:
“ I am a good boy!”…” io non fumo, non bevo, non mi drogo…non mi credete?… e non ho mai, mai, mai, mai, mai, mai guidato forte…. guido una cinquecento! “
translated: "I am a good boy, I do not smoke, I do not drink, I do not take drugs.. don't you believe me? and I have never never never never ever drived in exessive speeds infact I drive a cinquecento"

I reckon it will be main vein, u see he emphasised it a lot... he said too many girls are messing up his mind....
and wow the weather over here... Humid, Sunny all the time and damn HOT this morning we had no electricity and I could not shave.... I look like Jay... ... I wish I am still in Catania.... I really had so much FUN!!! I'll have to go and watch them if they will be back in Italy... especially if they go to Rome.... |
