jk used to wear an adidas "gazell" which is hardly avalable now in adidas shops (in france mostly) a lot of artist have worn it like madonna ....
i gotta let you know that this model is very adored by hip-hop dancer ask 'em they will tell you . |

i'm not sure what did u mean by "check my link" monisum coz i dont think i put any URL in my previous message except for the URL that u provided....anyway...i'm quite sure that jay wore adidas CAMPUS throughout emergency on planet earth era till travelling without moving era.....u can check adidas campus here http://www.sneakers.pair.com/m-campus.htm
and i also agree with maniox...maybe jay did wore gazelle too...i'm not sure actually whether jay wore gazelle or campus back those days....coz both model seems quite similar in design...but i do strongly believe that jay wore adidas campus throughout EOPE-TWM era....

you can find alot of those adidas here in ottawa, i see them all over the place at sports stores, but i don't see many people wearing them, maybe that cause i don't look at people's feet when i'm walking, maybe if i was sitting

I know a story about the sponsoring thing:
In the early days of Jamiroquai, Jay used to wear Adidas shoes and sports outfits (jackets and trousers). Then Levi's came up with a deal to sponsor Jamiroquai, since this brand was very hot during these days. I thought this was very strange, since Jay was recognisable by his Adidas clothes in these days. Whenever you saw a man in Adidas, you can tell by 90% that it had to be Jay! In the Netherlands it was very rare to see Jay on TV and also see someone in these clothes.
The record label accepted it, but Jay wasn't happy about it. He once said in an interview that, sure he was happy with free clothes, but when he performed, he wanted to wear Adidas. And so he did. I know there was a piece in the newspaper about it, 'cos Levi's was furious that Jay didn't wear the clothes in public.
So I thought that the deal was blown off many years ago, but some years ago at a concert in Rotterdam (I think it was the Synkronised tour), I entered the stadium and saw a huge commercial standing on the field with Jay in Levi's clothes. So I guess he's still sponsored by Levi's.
I have no clue on the fact if there (still)is/was some sponsoring from Adidas. I know that he (and me too!!!!) just dig the brand with the three stripes. And sure, if I pay enough money, Adidas will make me my own designed pair of Adidas too. I once saw a documentary of Nike. There are a lot of basketball and soccer players (also from the Netherlands) who wanted to have there own, specially designed Nike's. And they did got them after paying a lot of money! So if you show the money, everyting is possible.

there are loads of interwievs where Jay said he wore Gazelles throug Emergency of planet earth up to Syncronized. About the Adidas Campus stuff, Jay is using them in the Space Cowboy videoclip and a couple of videos more. The Campus and Gazelle models are very very similar, and both of them were used for Jay many times. |
