But the motor that you are talking about , is for the "comercial" version of the lancers, i remmeber when was a 2.0 gti in the Evo4(talking about the design and not the motor in the car) in portugal!
Was on of the bests in Lancer (comercial version)But always was the Lancer Evolution, and the motors for there are much more strong then the normal version of 1.3 1.5 or 1.8 cc , is a 2.0 GSI Turbo Cooler with 280cv!
There are other top cars in mitsubishi , try to play some games like the GT Wink i will learn alot about cars , heheeh

The lancer will NEVER have a bigger engine than a 2.0, as long as WRC rules state that all cars able to compete have to hava a 2.0 engine....
However, for those who cry about its 'poor' performance, they have the EVOVIII FQ-400, which has a 400bhp 2.0, accellerates 0-60 in 3.5 seconds(supercar time) and as Jeremy Clarkson proved last sunday, and car magazine before it, it is a family car that can easily keep up with a lamborghini Murcielágo, and a Pagani Zonda!!

mitsu only came out with this version coz their sales are failing.

plus, how can a turbo 4 (mitsu) keep up with a zonda or a lambo? it wouldnt have enough torque, let alone keep the same acceleration as a zonda in the 200+km/h area.

sure, it might be able to reach 330km/h, but it wouldnt be able to reach that speed quicker than a zonda.

Go to http://gear.viper007bond.com/ and download the latest top gear episode... Check out what I mean when I say that this car can keep up with a murci...
Furthermore, if you can, buy the issue of CAR magazine with the new golf GTi, and you'll see about the zonda!
