twenty zero one
in the afo album booklet, the lyrics say : "2001 she's such a maniac it's not for me but my baby's really a crack", but to me it sounds like "2001 she's such a maniac it's not for me but my baby really needs her crack", is it just me, or do other people think so too???? Confused

yes, smellbob, that's excactly what I hear, too.
But English is not my native language so I use to believe the lyrics in the album booklet ;)

...what doen't mean that they are always right. Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I'm with you too smellbob.

Often the lyrics in the album booklet don't tend to match up with what's actually sung.

But as long as we're talking about mis-heard song lyrics:

When Little L first came out, I was utterly convinced that 'you're playing so hard to get' was 'your pants are so hard to get'... whoops Embarassed

What?!?!?
Laughing stoned Yes, "pants hard to get" is really a good one Mr. Green .

One of my numerous mistakes about the text was about the song "Use th Force". I was convinced that JK was singing:
I can do eagle eye instead of the correct phrase:
I can go eagle high.

Any way I like my version (even if it not no good english)... and keep on singing it. Very Happy

Say what...say what.
alright Hello, :jay3:

Yeah, that's one of the headaches I had about Jamiroquai when I started listening a long time. Especially with the songs "Scam" and "Kids", not the second meanings, but keeping up with the razor sharp lyrics, Jay Kay is so nimble, I wish I could recite his speed. Also the same could be said with the track "Revolution 1993", more hard lyrics, I wonder if some of the big ideas songs will surface on the 6th album? Maybe songs about the current problems that plague modern man: Clean bottled water, Free Trade and many others. Oh, I would like to announce that YOURS TRULY is now a CO-MODERATOR of the "Music Of Jamiroquai" section of JamiroTalk.net, I kept the news secret for a few days, but now I can say I'm part JamiroTalk.net now. Thanks for listening, and if you have any Jamiroquai related questions, just drop me a messie here on JamiroTalk! Peace! (Shines up Co-moderator badge given to me by CosmicMouse, pins on shirt and smiles Smile )

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000
