lol..... hmmm tru ay! i havent checked out the guestbook yet lol... i used to post on it ! but just forgot about it ... i was told it was closed due to one of the "people on this board" kept on doing commentry about it here or soemthing like that.... |

i think there should just be a general rule regarding that 'site for us:
seeing that the "posters" on funkin.com are on here (most of the time), why don't we just keep the guestbook as just that...a guestbook.
no stupid posts. no commentary regarding the EURO 2004 title winners. no opinions on why italians do it better.
just keep it as a guestbook. make david (the webmaster's) job easier and just say "nice site, good on yer", and not drivel shit about how happy you are about the guestbook is up again so you can air nonsense.

please do it. david rowe took off the guestbook to hope that you and everyone else would at least forget the guestbook. he doesnt want you back. its for guests, for newcomers, not dwellers. |

I have to take Jamirofan under my wings...
It was for sure NOT Jamirofans fault, that David closed the guestbook on funkin. There have been fakers, fooling and attacking around.
I admit: the real Jamirofan2000 uses to write a lot, but he always stays loyal, objective, friendly and respectfull.
The definition of a guestbook on a website is another thing and has nothing to do with the reason of the shut-down of the funkin guestbook.
I observed the guestbook regularily in those days and I can tell you what really happend: Some idiots were writing under Jamirofans and other fan's names and faked messages. They were offending and messing around. That's why the funkin guestbook was closed.

Another thing we can discuss is, how to use a guestbook...
First of all I would ask the webmaster, if he tollerates conversation on the guestbook, or if it is only for telling your opinion about the website.
David writes on his site: "Say hello to other fans", so I guess that he has nothing against peacefull conversations in his guestbook. But of course a guestbook is not as comfortable as a forum like this one.
A forum is (normally) moderated, the users are registrated - no fakes!
I think David knows why he doesn't run a discussion forum on his site. It's a lot of work to do!!! 
......
So, that's what I needed to say. Jamirofan is doing a lot for the Jamily. Please stop calumny and misinterpretations.

Yes, "Jamirofan's" fake messages were one of the reasons he closed the site. The other was that "bandmembers" posted too much messages there. By that I of course mean fake bandmembers.
So, I think we can agree that your theory Pietro doesn't hold water. You know what to do and then we can end discussion about this  |

Thank you Mouse, those wings of yours are very nice and air conditioned too ! Mouse pretty much explained it all concerning the reasoning for the 2 past Funkin Site Guestbook closures. In regards to Pietro's comments, I will post on there whenever the heck I want too, but has you noted, I won't post anything of the "longass post variety"...but ONLY when there's some bollocks on the guestbook in either being attacks on my fellow JamiroFans or anything else that is serious. I did in the past look at the Guestbook exactly as a little "commentary" space for fans to share their personal feelings on certain Jamiroquai issues, but now, I only smooze by to see who has checked in. unfortunately, in that case the guestbook will most likely close down again.
i still think there shouldnt be any unneccesary/obnoxious posting on that guestbook. it's gotten silly. |

Can we all keep some virtual sanity out of respect for funkin and the real fans of Jamiroquai to give the guest book the justice it deserves ???
I don't want to be a misery-guts here, but we can all have good clean fun and a joke and a laugh without buggering things up for others . . . please !!!
Ironically my words are lost here, because I don't think that the previous perpetrators would post here, and therefore my appeal is wasted. I suppose I am echoing general opinion anyway, for what it's worth . . .
