Yeah, me too!!!!!!!!!! lol

I like the piece when he's taking out a joint and goes: "I would love to shear it with you, but I can't because this is my joint! you must roll your own! arghhhhh!"

Does anybody know what is he saying somewhere in Verona, that sounds like
"the rain ?? stop the party " ?? What? He repeats that a couple of times.

Hello Jamirotalkers,

I have a question. In Live In Verona, during Little L he is complaining about a sound problem, and he makes faces to someone on his left. With his hands does something like more volume or something... any ideas what can this be??

During the gig in Palermo, summer 2003, the same problem happened: before Jamiroquai played, there were lots of bands which made their musical performances, so they had not the possibility to have a "direct contact" on stage. I remember that Jay was very nervous and he often looked towards his right for capturing the look of some sound technicians. He also went back the stage and, for what i could see, he was really with a "bad head"..........

Well, yeah. He is giving sings to sound engineers that he doesn't hear himself properly to make them add some volume at the stage. That's very important because if a singer doesn't hear oneself, it's very probable that he will go out of tune. And this (unfortunately) happened rather frequently at Verona. Wink

Just to add something, at the beginning of Virtual Insanity I think he does the same thing but I think he's trying to tell the guy to play that string chord on time just before starting with the well known piano sequence.

Well, going back to the topic... I think he says too many times "Baby" or "Don't you know"... actually for me it's quite annoying when he does that, you may call it his style but for me it just don't work... I'd love to hear more sounds, not him repeating the same thing a thousand times.[/quote]

"might frame those and take 'em home", referring to some woman's breasts at Woodstock 99, actually that gig gave many, many good phrases!

"If you like Roy Ayers, put your hands together", maybe not that common but hey, it's been heard a couple times!
