U2 Vertigo Tour
I remember that we have some U2 fans between us, haven't we? Rolling Eyes

I do like U2, the live shows are just bombastic! fire jump

Today the tour dates were announced and the presale for the tickets starts tomorrow! The official tour ticket sale beginns next week.
U2 tickets are generally sold out in hours, so I am very exited about it.

I will buy tickets for Berlin, 7. July 2005. I just thought, it would be funny to meet some (german) Jamirotalkers at a U2 gig! Laughing Laughing

Just an idea Wink

Meike, where did you find tickets??

I've searched on the net and found tickets for Wienna that cost from 125 to 250 pounds Exclamation That's from 180 to 360 euros Shocked horror roll eyes anxious

Otherwise I'm not a fan but my girlfriend is and I thought to surpise her.

Well, at that prices it sure would be a surprise!!

Oh no, don't buy tickets on the black market!!! Very important! You may buy a faked ticket and at the end your girlfriend can't get in! Shocked

Have a look at www.u2.com

There you'll find information about the ticket sale wich starts next week.
If you register at u2.com as a paying member (40$ / year) you will be able to reserve tickets one week earlier (this presale starts tomorrow, 11 am GMT+1)!

But I just got a newsletter from a german u2fansite (u2tour.de), telling that the presale dates for some cities will be pushed back, so it is not for sure, that I will get my tickets tomorrow.

Further questions? PM me! Wink

WHOOOOO! May 24 and May 26 at FleetCenter in Boston!!! But $50 for a ticket? U2, we love you, but we'd love you even more if you dropped a ten off that. Laughing

Still, I'll be looking into it.

Do you guys in Europe have Ticketmaster or something like it?
http://www.ticketmaster.com

Pretty much every band at every major venue (So do comedians, sports teams, etc) in the U.S. goes through Ticketmaster for buying tickets and distibuting tickets. That way you know if their fake or real usually.

Lucky Tahoe... They aren't hittin up to Minneapolis on their upcoming tour, so like antoher band that hopefully will be touring in '05, I'd have to go to Chicago to catch them. For U2, not worth it for me, for Jamiroquai I'll drive anywhere baby!!!!!

Ok, so I was wrong in my last post over a month ago about U2 not coming. They are coming on Friday Sept. 23 to Target Center Arena in Minneapolis. Tix went on sale last sat (3/19). They went on sale at 10 AM, and I was on ticketmaster.com right at 10 AM. Ticketmaster is where all the major U.S. concerts, sporting events, etc. are sold.

So Im on right at 10AM, I put in the ticket request... and I still had to wait 20 minutes for the thing to go through, because so many people got tix right at 10. The seats they offered me were really bad, and they wanted $100 each for them. So Im not goin to u2 Sad

Rolling Eyes Sometimes getting hold of tickets legitimately & without getting ripped off with the prices is a case of luck with timing. I had the same nervous wait when I tried to get tickets for The Strokes. Waiting online for the exact moment the tickets went on sale & by the time I had processed my order they'd already sold out the first night. Luckily I managed to get them for the second date though... somersault

Nice... It really is luck. I got one back for missin out on u2 just now. About a half hour ago is scored Weezer tickets. They're playing at the legendary First Avenue club in Minneapolis in May. Tix went on sale about a half hour ago, and I got 'em. I went to put in another ticket request 2 minutes later for the same show, and it sold out. It seriously sold out in less than 5 minutes... So I missed out on U2, but Weezer will be pretty groovy.

Pity about U2 but Weezer will be good another smile

I've always prefered smaller venues. You get a much better atmosphere & a better feeling of being connected with the performance... spinsmile

Hehe thanks for the comments. It's nice to know someone shares my troubles getting tix for popular acts. It will be interesting to see how the Jamiroquai pre-sale to members of the official site goes.

BTW: THIS WEEKEND I'M GOING TO CHICAGO TO SEE ALICIA KEYS!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Pietro,
Im sure they will. Just be prepared whether they play a big stadium or arena or theatre or whatever, get in line early to buy tickets. Get them right when they go on sale, because the good seats... and all seats should go fast. Plus, expect to pay a lot of money for the tickets. But from what I've heard, they are worth every penny seein them live. Check some of the previous posts on this topic to see my personal experience of attempting to buy U2 tix.

BTW TO ANYONE WHO CARES: ME AND PIETRO'S CONFLICT EARLIER IN THE DAY IN A NOW LOCKED TOPIC HAS BEEN CLEARED UP. WE APOLOGIZED, HUGGED, GAVE EACH OTHER A BUTT SLAP AND WENT ON OUR WAY LOL. Things are fine now.
