I have told you already in private that I am really glad about your apologies, Catman, Pietro and Jammineapolis!! It means a lot to me.
And I really hope you all mean it and not doing this in order to avoid to be banned... ... nah, I believe in you, guys.
Hopefully we can use our time now for more important things, so that some of us are able to post informative or entertaining messages now

I totally agree with Serge, CosmicMouse and FunkEducation. luckily, it seems that the problems have been solved. however, i'd like to say something.
Ed: you said that this is not like a kindergarten, and that we aren't kids of 12, 13, 14, that we are all between 19 and 23.
well, as you know i'm just 15, and in my view our actions don't depend on our age, but on the maturity (is it ok this word? :S). i mean, i don't think if Phunky was older, he would think in a different way. i'm sorry if i'm offending someone, but he acted as an inmature person, at least that's my conclusion of what i have read. but, of course, it's just an opinion. _________________

I have very little to add, everything's been said.
only this TOO SWEET atmosphere annoys me a bit (i agree with Phunky at this point). the world isn't so sweet and nice and we are not so pure-hearted..... but yes i know this is not the place. you set the rules. i obey. |

Sadly this is the case Still here at Jamirotalk we need to drop all of that taint at the door before we come in. We don't want to be walking in with muddy shoes & ruining Meike's place!!!

Spot on fUnK[iLo]!! Maturity is a factor & also is shown by whether we have strong enough charcaters to apologise when we are wrong!
And, to the guys here who have so beautifully & eloquently said sorry: I know Pete & Mike (though I've not chatted with you for a LONG time Mike) are good guys & I'm sure the same is the case with you others!!

yes you're right... but people of 19, 20, 21 have not the same things on their heads as kids of 11, 12, 13 unless they have brain problems! and i think nobody here has them!! that's what i think... there are 5 or 6 years of living more experiences in life!
And i really feel happy cos everybody here said Sorry!! C'mon guys you can do it! and there's not f*ckin reasons to be fighting on this great forum! it's the only one we hav! there's not anyone else out there...
And Serge! your avatar's so funny! heheh! _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

in phunkys case i think some of the things he said were immature but some of things he said just reflected on how he has grown up and what he has been taught... dissing CosmicMouse was very harsh tho!
i dont think maturity has anything to do with it... no matter how mature one person is they are still going to fight for what they believe is right no matter if another thinks its wrong... i mean calling names is immature and pulling each others hair is... but when it comes to political stances i dont think being immature has nothing to do with it.... |

I'm a member for about 3 years in this community and I always appreciated this special "cosy" atmosphere on this site!! Maybe it's because of my age but I prefer to communicate in proper sentences and not with this "SMS" syntax (it's not easy to understand for a non-native-english-speaker anyway ) In the last few weeks I didn't visit this site so frequently because the atmosphere changed. I didn't feel confortable any more. I'm glad you guys fully discussed it and I hope that this site will go on like it started - thank you Meike for making this fan forum possible and thanks to all moderators who are doing a great job!!

Theres nothing to add!

I belong to another very active forum that has rules about attacking other members and so on, all of which most members follow. People do argue and disagree, but without going to such low levels to do so.
The result?
A really great place to visit and go have all types of discussions without being disrespected or feel like your talking to a bunch of 6 year olds.
So it's quite possible to have a forum with set rules that are followed and still enjoy your time there.
It's all about respect and I can't understand why people can't respect others on a forum. You should be completely capable to disagree, and to argue over something without making it personal and disrespecting others on the site. Not everyone has to have the same opinion as you. You don't have to like it, but accept it.
Doing so otherwise just shows lack of maturity.
You should most of all respect CosmicMouse and the choices she makes about her own site. This wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for her, and really, she can do whatever she pleases with it. If you don't like it, no one's holding a gun to your head to stay.

I agree
Hello to all
I don't come to often here, but the nice thing of being back is that I found a post that says exactly how I felt. There are some really nasty people in this and other Jami sites, with no respect at all and always saying bad things about everything. I just wonder, how can that people live with all the load of negativity? They never have a good idea or they just can't disagree peacefully. They attack to the people who really wants to keep a nice atmosphere in the Jami sites. I still can't understand why the moderators keeps letting these people make their posts. I wouldn't let them. Say I'm harsh, but I don't like being attack or seeing how other people is being attack for no reason.
Kisses to all

trust me this forum doesnt have anything on the other forum im frequently on TRUST ME this forum is incredibly tame...

People at times are going to express negativity on different subjects sad as that is. Still, even when there are negative things going on round here things are being observed. Thats the beauty of Jamirotalk, there are moderators here who keep an eye on things. Clearly these people have offered their services to moderate because a forum means something to them so they aren't going to let things get out of control & break down into anarchy!!
There are people around who have let things get out of control & they know who they are (not naming anyone here or pointing fingers!!)
In my opinion the best test of character is when someone does wrong that they are humble enough to admit that they were wrong & apologise. In my mind thats a great strength & deserves recognition...

i thought this topic was dead and buried.
anyways, i think that "attacks" are usually spawned by smaller attacks coming from other users.
i refer to the feud that happened between myself and FunkEducation, which has finished, thank God.
all that happened was that he made a bit of a sharp comment towards me (which, in retrospect, wasn't really an attack at all). then what happened was i got VERY defensive and fired off some of my classic (and very effective) remarks towards him.
in short, within 2 weeks, we learnt to hate eachother.
i then lent a olive branch towards him, which he accepted, and now we get along in harmony.
this has also been repeated between me and Jaminneapolis, regarding the "SuperBowl" topic, where he fired off at Australian music artists. some of his comments were true, but his attack had no lead-up to it and was a bit out of character.
same thing happened. we learnt to hate eachother. thats gone over now, and we live in harmony again.
so Noe, you may not like being attacked or seeing people being attacked, BUT when you start launching the attacks (not saying you have, i mean if you WERE to launch an attack), it all comes back to you, as it has done to me. |

that's just cos you're an idiot PietroChocko!!! i hate you!!!
hehehehe nah man i'm joking...
and yeh, we had a terrible start....
and i was always doing comments trying to stroke you down...
and you hav done the same...
then we stopped the thing and we talked, then i realized Pietro was and he's a nice guy...
now we are great friends
this is something i've learned with life: "all the terrible new friends, finish being your best friends"
and the same happened with a lot of people...
and for me: THERE'S NOTHING BETTER THAN FRIENDS! why? cos they're there when you need them!
oops i went offtopic again... sorry for my biblical text... hehehe _________________ This is FunkEducation, supporting the 1992-1998 Jamiroquai!!

I am a newbie here but I know that with album coming out there will be
many ugly new members here. It's how it goes. True fans are the ones
who've been here long time but not the ones like me. So get ready _________________ need a ride ?
