Suggestions for name of New Fan Section of Official Site!!
 Hello,
 Hehe, finally, I get my chance of seizing a Funkin news topic...hehe . Here's what David posted:
The official website, which is being updated in preparation for the release of Dynamite is having a dilemma which it wants the fans to help with. The new look site will include a "fan" section but we're not sure what exactly to call it. If you've got any suggestions for what it should be called please email them to fansection@funkin.com with your suggestion as the subject of the email. I'll then collate all the ideas and pass them on and we'll then try and get Jay to choose which one he prefers most. If you could email any suggestions to me by Wednesday 9th March that would be great. Thank you. (Fri 04 Mar)
 I think my name which I have always held would make a perfect name for the purposed new fans section of the Offish Site ! But I have opened yet another new poll of possible fan section names I have devised, please vote and leave your thoughts here! Thanks for listening and Peace!

 When I imagine that the new fan corner of jamiroquai.com would be called Jamirotalk I am afraid that the real Jamirotalk will become redundant and needless. And it will come to confusion and mixing up especially for the new additions to the fan community.
"Go to Jamirotalk and find the link to blablabla or see the discussion about bla bla.."
"Hm... I am already at Jamirotalk..what do you mean?"
"Ah, no... I mean the other Jamirotalk"
You see, what I mean? 
The first name that came to my mind was "Jamily". The combination of Jam and family is a perfect descibtion of our community feeling and this term is already used among us, so it would fit.
But I would suggest to find an absolutely new creation of a name. Maybe the lyrics or titles of the new album could inspire us...
Or leave it as J.Talk - why not?

But I prefer not to "The Jamily" but closely heart "Our Jamily"... |

Jamily, indeed! Because it describes us perfectly. We're a community, and each one of us helps each other as if we were a family. But not any family: The Jamiroquai Family. So Jamiroquai+Family=Jamily.

I think all the names referring to previous albums and singles of jamiroquai are not that good as names of a NEW fansection. So I also think Jamily and J-talk fit good as 'new' name, altough i prefer a name that have a link to the new album or the new songs. |
